Step 1) tank haulers
Step 2) don’t haul more than 2x value of ships required to gank you
Do the above 2 steps and in few weeks ganking will be down by a lot… and the only reason it is going to take a while is due to isk and ship reserves.

refind huh.
It doesn’t hurt me either way. Eventually CCP will address it and nerf it in to the ground.
All of those doing it so often now will have no one but themselves to blame.
Just like the war decs and soon the super ratting.
Nay saying and trolling the forums won’t save it. But you keep putting up the good fight.
The ironic thing is that wardeccers have been telling ccp that wardecs are broken. My old wardec corp stopped deccing because the only way to conduct them was mass decs and hub humping.
You’ll find that no one objects to wardecs being overhauled. But you’re gonna get a shock if you think wardecs or ganking are going to be nerfed into the ground.
The wardec change for now is a duct tape fix. But it looks like we might be going for something similar to my idea and also having social corps, for which I’ve been one of the biggest promoters since someone came up with the idea several years ago.
Super ratting on the other hand, everyone knows is a problem. Is anyone defending super ratting?
You do know OP, even if this would get implemented, people would complain 5min later and demand more nerfs. This slow grind of “just one more nerf to balance” happens for 15 years now and CCP has as it seems stopped falling for it when they discovered that ganking doesn’t hurt retention but probably even helps it.
This can’t be done. No matter how much you make it cost to destroy a ship in highsec you will still have idiot carebears putting twice that value in cargo in an untanked hauler and then autopiloting to Jita. You can’t fix stupidity with game mechanics, so stop trying.

If the people who got ganked are idiots or geniuses is completely irrelevant! Pull your heads from this ridiculous kind of rationalizations and be real, CCP is a business in the end and their main focus is player retention, not to select for their player base some ludicrous high IQ Spartans.
And by the way, that is about some ideal self-image that your dads forced upon you, as a silly requirement for a minimal self respect… If this world was meant just as a playground for tough guys, the reality will look like a perpetual Hunger Games theme
The real questions now, when CCP needs to meed their financial targets for that ~200 mil $ prize, looks like this:
My suggestions come to meet #3 in that list, and i am convinced that will do it just fine.

No, it’s entirely relevant. Stupid people are supposed to die in EVE. The fact that a mechanic results in a lot of deaths for stupid people while smart people face little or no threat from it is EVE working exactly as intended.
CCP is a business in the end and their main focus is player retention, not to select for their player base some ludicrous high IQ Spartans.
No. The fact that CCP hasn’t focused obsessively on player retention is the thing that has made EVE survive this long. They’ve been willing to stick to their design principles instead of compromising it all away chasing another 1% of player retention, and as a result EVE continues to be a unique game with dedicated players. If player retention becomes the most important goal then EVE is doomed.
Do you really believe in what you are writing or are influenced by companies that do not want the CCP to progress and grow???

CCP can progress and grow without risking/sacrificing their only major success. They can create new games for all kinds and for all types of players.
This idea that the only path to business success for CCP to try a metamorphosis of an ancient and popular game into something else is just a carebear pipe dream.

You know it, shure !!!
You just wanna to continue gankfest and to justify yourself by oppressing the new low SP players.

The design principles I mentioned are why CCP still exists at all. If they had chased player growth instead of accepting that EVE is not a game for everyone then they would have lost their unique place in the marked and died like countless other MMOs that tried and failed at filling the PvE niche. The players that get suicide ganked and ragequit are the price of keeping the players that stay because EVE allows you to do things like that.

No, I’m pointing out a business reality since you seem so fixated on CCP’s bottom line. Eve is too old, laden with legacy code, and yet still has tens of thousands of veteran players lining up to be milked. It makes literally zero sense to mess significantly with that cash cow and risk killing it. The patient is too old and cranky making any intervention costly and expensive, and intervention has a high chance of starting a fail cascade that will kill it and stop the flow of sweet cash it brings in.
Eve is a full-time, open-world PvP sandbox game. That is a feature, not a bug. CCP isn’t able to change that at this point - the game design work necessary is far too much, and it can’t be done without risking much of the existing player base. And if the player-base dwindles to a size where CCP might consider something that radical, the development cost will be too high to invest in a 20+ year-old game.
Face it: Eve Online is going to go on largely as it is until the servers go dark. People will be oppressing new players, and ganking each other, like they have since 2003, until the very end. The trajectory of this project was set years ago, and CCP can only adjust course of this rocket to the slightest of degrees without risking a complete explosion and destruction of everything.

But time for excuses has passed, now is RESULT time!!!

You are so badly self-deluded That kind of missteps just made them to get sold, and now they are forced to meet some financial targets to keep the company afloat.
Your silly rants about how “stupid people are meant to die” and other elitist/darwinist crap have no longer a place in EVE. Adapt or die… or you can just quit.

Had to be sold, or got to be sold? Financial necessity, or the CEO cashing out their retirement check?
And it’s hardly “missteps” when EVE’s best growth and success happened in an era when suicide ganking and similar things were easier to do. EVE was in better shape when suicide ganks paid out full insurance on the CONCORDed ships and even relatively cheap haulers were viable targets. But don’t let facts get in the way of a good rant.

So, do you have any statements from CCP that these things no longer have a place in EVE? Or are you just desperately hoping that CCP will pander to incompetent carebears and remove PvP, as if saying it enough times will magically make it true? Because right now I see no action from CCP on changing anything about suicide ganking, only some players assuming that because they made a F&I post about it the game must be changing to reflect their demands.
Or are you just desperately hoping …
Or are YOU just desperately hoping that you will preserve the status quo now when everything changes …
There is no reason that -10 characters are in High Sec.
Not all -10 players are high sec gankers, and sometimes there are valid reasons for them to take the risk of travelling through high sec.
For example, I am negative sec status due to low sec piracy, and I rarely go through high sec. However, on certain occasions I have no choice, for example if my corp is evicting a WH group and that WH has a high sec entrance.
In that case I have to pass through high sec (as quickly as possile… I’ll usually refit my bashing ship for align speed while travelling.) If I lag for two seconds I die, and any newbie with a sensor booster and a long point could ruin my day on a gate (for some reason they rarely do…)

The game was most successful when wardecs and ganking were cheaper and easier to do.
The further ccp take eve away from its core design, the quieter the game gets. The only people who will ever keep this game going is the hardcore player base. Meanwhile, carebears rarely stick with games for more than a couple year.

Yes you are CCP CFO and know when CCP was successfull and when not!
New bosses have whole insight in past and present financial data and they will make appropriate decisions.
