Yes….its the usual par for the course thing of people logging in here with chars that are either ‘noob’, or there’s the ‘ I didn’t play for 10 years’ or ‘ I’ve been playing since 2003 on my main’…..and the thing they all have in common is ZERO killboard whilst they lecture about ganking despite never having been ganked or done ganking and lecture about PvP despite never having done any. It’s all quite comical really.
It’s sad and pathetic.

Calm down miner. You are just salty that you will face everlasting consequences that you are scared of. Less than a month, you had your time.

Stop letting them take your low tanked ships. It’s that simple. It requires effort on your part. Stop being lazy. Not getting ganked is extremely easy. You almost have to go out of your way to lose ships to PvP in High Sec.

Yes true. Without multiboxing the criminal career would die off completely. There is so few of us because CCP keeps nerfing our content every year, directly or indirectly like buffing our targets tankyness. Plus some of us just get a life and move on from this crappy game.
CCP wants us gankers to pay/burn as much PLEX possible to generate income, so they make ganking harder and harder every year.
So now there is so few of us that if we were allowed to play just one account each, we couldn!t ever gank anything else than a Mackinaw in 0.5. And that would be possible only if we all came together to one system out of thousands that highsec has, and played in same timezone.
Yes I think the game would be much healthy if there would be no multiboxing. But CCP promoted it to their main profit generating tool and so any nerfs to multiboxing will never happen.
But lets imagine it what would happen if nobody could multibox anymore:
- Number of online player drops considerably, which can then cause negative player retention as (mainly new) players might think “uh, just 10k players online, this game is dead,no point playing”.
- Mining income changes drastically, but also prices of all ships in the game (eventually after some long time). The more minerals will ship need to bild the more expensive it becomes.
- Ganking is rweduced to what is doable with single account, alpha-shotting autopilots or lazy players without instadock/instaundock. Frigate/destroyer ganking on anomalies and signatures in 0.6 and lower and ganking untanked t1 haulers in 0.6 and lower. Oh and venture/shuttle + pod hunting by -10 toons just for “lolz”.
- Barges, Exhumers. DSTs, Freighters, Abyss runners and well anymore with enough EHP to survive 1 Tornado will never be a target anymore.
- Additionally, a lot of ganking will be done without any profit to be had, because you need another player to loot it (or relog your alt quickly, which will be very unreliable) further reducing amount of ganks / gankers still active. Pretty much only diehards will stay who will keep ganking simply to make a point that no nerfs that CPP imposes on them can ever make them stop doing it.
Eventually the economy probably gets broken since no freighters ever die anymore, large scale fights wiith capitals will become even more rare than they are now as replacing such big ships will be extremely expensive, ganking drops almost to zero because of the limitations but despite that, since the remaining ganks are now made without profit in mind, just for “lolz” as carebears like to name it, carebears will keep complaining about ganking because “they don’t even have any profit from it, they do it only to grief players who mind their own bussiness”. And we will still be having these threads on forums on a daily basis anyway.
That is my prediction. Simply put, removal of multiboxing (even if CCP ever wanted to do it, which they don’t) would kill this game at this point.
But I will say this. It would be probably good if that happened. Then a new and better successor could have risen. And even if not, at least I would get a life!

Tags aren’t expensive. Last I checked it was 550 million isk for a full reset from -10 to 0.

I would argue the economy is already broken in that anything built only out of minerals is super cheap, but everything else (PI/moon goo/etc) is super expensive. A T1 destroyer hull is something like 1~2 million isk. A T3D? 75+ million isk. (If I’m remembering prices correctly while at work.)

Wrong math. We, who reset our security status can’t go more than -4 or -4.5 depending where we operate. So we gank until we reach -4 or .5 and then we go to CONCORD station in lowsec. Thats 5x 34mil for transporter tag + 5x 5 mil for CONCORD fee on top of it, and 3x 35mil for negotiator tag + 3x 10mil CONCORD fee. That is 330mil cost for each 4 negative points of security status. (I am using sell prices at Jita, some discount can be acquired via putting up a buy order, but then many gankers don’t even buy it at Jita they buy it in station directly which costs even more.)
Your -10 would be an equivalent of 2 and half this which is 825million for each gank toon we are using. Most of us multiboxes since CPP buffed our targets so hard that we need to use fking 5 catalysts for a well tanked retriever in 0.5. Or 10 and even more for abyssal Gilas after the update that increased resistances.
And if you still say that is not expensive at all… I guess you are making so much money via mining that everything is too cheap for you. And no amount would be enough for you to admit that there is a consequence. Question is why the miners who are making so much ISK by mining like the guy ranting in industry part of the forum are so mad about losing measly 280mil once a week lol.
BTW I farmed those tags myself this week because they are so expensive. Is that a consequence for you or is it not either?

Me? A miner? No no. That’s for multi-boxers only. I would like to do mining as a relaxing AFK background activity, but it’s literally not even worth undocking for as a solo account. Not when I can make 120 million isk running L4 null security missions in 20 minutes.
If I’m feeling lazy, I can go sit in a FW plex for 20 min and get 80 mil isk.
