Support NPC Fleet for solo Players

My Idea is that: Solo players I mean those who are not in any fleet should be able to control NPC ships belonging to the players Militia Faction and the numbers should depend upon the standing a player has with his respective Militia Faction. This Way solo players can Have NPC support with them against multiple targets. NPC support can be AI based or manual. It can include EWar squad, Logistical squad and etc…
This will also promote players to participate in faction warfare even more.
Players would be able to practice being an FC and learn how things work.
Thanks to CCP for the opportunity for sharing my Idea.

No.

This is the exact opposite of what EVE Online is about. EVE is about relationships and interactions with other HUMAN players. That is one of the ONLY things that has let this game survive as long as it has. Creating further incentive to never ever ever talk to other players is just dumb.

May I ask? How will it stop players from communicating?
Alliance players join alliance fleets and despite that some still go on solo roams. Being in fleets does not always give them to gain confidence for trying to become an FC or if they are not that experienced they wont know how it feels to become an FC.
And even if there are players who like to play alone then its better to have some support rather than feeling alone.

Nor is your idea will help with getting any useful experience in being FC. it is about same as saying that using drones or fighters make you better at FC.

Absolutely no pets.

What’s to stop 100 people using these npc’s but just not forming a fleet? They can still warp to the same celestials and shoot the same targets.

There is no way this can work. None.

Interact with other players. Make friends.

Because if you can get NPCs to do everything then you don’t need to communicate with other players and organize your efforts.

Being in fleets does not always give them to gain confidence for trying to become an FC or if they are not that experienced they wont know how it feels to become an FC.

The way to build confidence as an FC is to just be an FC and accept your losses while you learn. Managing NPCs is not going to teach you anything relevant here.

And even if there are players who like to play alone then its better to have some support rather than feeling alone.

Why should solo players have support? They’ve made the choice to be alone, why should they get the same advantages as people who have chosen to work together?

Also this. Congratulations, you just replaced a 500 man fleet with 500 people on third-party voice comms, each with their own personal NPC fleet, coordinating their efforts and annihilating anything in their path (except a similar fleet abusing the NPC mechanic).

We have these already. They’re called Drones. Just use them.

These are the actual keywords here.

Mate, that’s simply not how humans work. Such NPCs drive people into even deeper isolation, making them dependent on virtual figures causing psychological impact eventually.

People who are alone need friends. Those who don’t want friends do so by choice, literally asking for a disadvantage. Those who want friends, but can’t find any, need to learn how that works, because it’s super important for Life itself.

Giving these people NPCs to fly with, control and pretend they’re real people, to any degree whatsoever, would stop the need for any and all social integration.

No, this isn’t like running alts, because with alts there is a significant cost AND one has to do everything by ones self. There’s no way to pretend that an alt is a seperate entity.

So… especially for people who feel alone this is a bad idea.

Playing solo is a choice.
