Oh, please. Look, they’ve completely murdered my logi T3Cs, but I’m taking it all in stride. Complaining to them isn’t going to change a thing. This is the direction they’re going to go in.
Will it work? Who knows? At this point, they’re ostensibly pushing a battleship meta, but they’ve made it so—according to one CSM—the absolute largest ore anoms in null don’t give enough ore to build one battleship.
Honestly, if this is moving in a direction you think will be absolutely horrible for you, the only thing anyone can do is ride it out and see what’s on the other side. All the whinging in the world won’t help.
Does the scan res change effect faction battleships like Navy Raven?
I don’t really see at all where you get a reduction of the importance of logi from these changes? To me that seems like talk with no actual change that supports it.
I’d like to feed the salt mine a bit about ganking.
First, it’s very rare for gankers to use T2 guns, due to the cost offsetting the profit from the gank. The damage changes won’t affect ganking majorly.
Second, the resist mod nerf is going to be offset in a HS ganking environment by people tweaking their fits. Someone who tanks their hauler/miner will be active enough to avoid the gank in the first place via preparation.
Third, this has ZERO EFFECT on freighters and untanked haulers. They will have the same ehp as before, and the same mechanics will apply.
Fourth, Procurers don’t get ganked. Seriously. It’s just not worth it, unless someone has pissed off the gankers enough for them to take a loss on it. Don’t use that as an excuse.
These changes will be only good for highsec, as more ships dying equal more demand for replacements. And with the mineral prices up, that equates to more isk/hr of mining and building.
Please think before you mash your face on the keyboard in a fit of rage.
@Shuro_Chi I think its because they’d rather you not PVE…as making isk reduces the need for you to buy plex. They’d rather you just PVP non-stop and purchase plex weekly/monthly to replace your losses. I’m not sure they’ve actually thought out the rest of the supply chain logistics as eventually with the ore nerf, and now making it easier to gank the miners there will be no industry left to produce the ships no matter how much plex you buy.
While its a bit annoying to me. as well, because im just now breaking into Trig content and barely surviving. I can understand the change. I don’t know how many times Ive warped into a site to see a heavily tanked ship … just sitting there. fighting without even moving. no sense of danger or adventure whatsoever. This change will definitely make it more challenging and having to ACTIVELY pilot a ship and make decisions to stay alive in a site rather than depending solely on modules. I don’t think it’s a bad thing. The trig content definitely requires full attention… at least for me . if anything. its the multi boxers farming sites in ship fittings requiring little to no attention will have a harder go .
Subscription numbers will ‘bear’ it out (no pun intended). Like I said in the original post, I don’t normally comment here as it’s pointless. I am today because to say nothing is worse. Changing a ship here or there, adding cargo, swapping mids for lows on a ship class, that stuff has minimal impact on the environment.
Reduce survivability substantially, new players won’t have the patience to ‘push through it’ and will just leave. That may be okay in your eyes as hey, ‘if they can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen.’ Those folks don’t all plex. Many pay cashy money for their accounts. Less revenue means bad things for companies.
I like Eve a lot, and I see this change having a devastating effect on the company’s revenue as folks who are barely surviving as it is get run out of game, and word of mouth keeps newer players away. Eve will become a bastion for the vets in every sense of the words, and that just means CCP can only sustain, not thrive.
If you want more full engagement PvP - do something with gatecamps. They makes EVE universe so much smaller then it looks. Gatecamps are splitting regions making most of activities possible only inside of them, so if there is fun in different part of space it is unaccessable for me and there is nothing to do in game even through i am willing to fight =)
Seriously, people who are actively looking for PvP are the only source of content in this game and to get it you need to fly across huge amount of systems. It is super offensive when you are find someone to fight with but before you undock this person becomes blaped by AFKing pirats. No content for me, no content for him, not sure how much joy for campers. It is not about loosing ship but loosing time - because find someone find someone to fight with requires huge amount of time ore luck.
Other source of PvP activities are - PVEing pilots, “sitting” corporations and campers. First going to stay as they are, second are just PVEing in their homesystem and waiting some one to come and joy them, and campers waiting as well. So make some more room for active fight search and more players will bring content for more players.
… I think you’re massively misunderstanding how the economy works. The ore nerfs and higher destruction levels should significantly increase the value of PvE, especially industry. Minerals being rarer increases the price, and the efforts of industrialists will be more valuable.
They have been pretty much forever, but it got very oppressive with the way Faxes work. It is far too easy to make a fleet nigh unassailable in Eve these days, and a general resist nerf and particularly the cap booster nerf to Faxes will have a significant impact on that, making fights far more approachable.
Absolute tosh and nonsense. If this pushes any industrialists away, it’ll be the lazy and worthless ones wanting no challenge. For my sakes, these PvE/Industry changes sound pretty damn good. Everything I’d do in industry would be more valuable, and with a bit of effort I could turn a few Indy characters into a wealth faucet extraordinaire by tailoring my output and sourcing to these changes.
But do feel free to ragequit. It’ll just benefit the competition.
Yes, but still it isn’t actually 20% difference. You might wanna act like some super experienced EvE player, but you do not have much experience with Maths, do you?
LMAO, you do realise how pathetic this part makes you looks like?
It was so hard for you to find an actual answer that you had to check my post history and my killboard to try and formulate personnal attacks instead.
Honnestly, I have no reason to be ashamed of my killboard. For the time I’ve spend in the game, many players have MUCH worst Killboards than that, with every stats in red.
My killboard is fine. I would like to compare it with yours, but you don’t even have the balls to post with your main char, so…
I’m not going anywhere. Remember, you are the one crying about the changes. Looks to me like you are more motivated to quit than I am.
@CCP WHY are you making changes that no one is asking for? enough is enough, why buff the deimos and nerf the muninn or other ships? nerfing is not balancing, its making changes to justify your job. fix the ore nerf back to what it used to be, leave the ships alone, fix the wormhole rolling back to what it used to be, and caps have been nerfed enough. just stop. stop trying to run the loyal player base off!
It should be pretty obvious to you that that’s not really a concern for them.
You need to think this properly through before you jump to conclusions.
They’ve spent years shifting the population more towards bears and farmers.
Since 2013 they’ve basically done nothing else but buffing it,
to make money off of them.
If they had any actual concerns for their income,
they’d not actively try getting rid of them within just a few months.
Literally months. Hell, every few weeks it seems they’re making more of them quit.
They’re shifting the population away from the farmers and bears really, really hard.
