Syndicate DMZ - approx 85B up for grabs, industry, exploration and PvP rewards! 26th September

Syndicate has always been one of the coolest NPC regions in EVE, and it’s time to drag it back into the spotlight. On September 26th, we’re turning the region into an open warzone. Combat bounties will be active all day long, and we’re carving out a dedicated 5-hour operational window where high-stakes industry and exploration rewards go live, creating a true sandbox DMZ where industrialists, explorers, and killers alike can all get paid to have fun!

I’m personally backing it with a 25 billion ISK war chest & 3000 PLEX and we’ve had some amazing donations so the total stands at around 27b ISK and 12000 PLEX thats being given away to participants!
I’m also running a massive 40% art sale all weekend at www.LloydGeorge.art.

We also have some amazing sponsors on board:

  • Fenris Creations (EVE’s creators) have made a massive contribution of 5,000 PLEX to sponsor the event.

  • TheMadRambo donated 2000 PLEX to add to the prize pool and will be streaming on the day so make sure you pop over and give him a follow on his Twitch here.

  • Nisme of Weather Station corporation has also donated 2000 PLEX to the rewards pool!

  • Geo Eclipse Oksaras generously donated 1B extra ISK to the cause.

The total rewards pool is distributed in the following way:

  • 5000 PLEX in rewards for a solo PvP leaderboard.

  • 10B ISK in lucrative freelance industrial contracts to jumpstart the region + leaderboard rewards totalling 3160 PLEX.

  • 2B ISK and 212 PLEX placed in containers around the region waiting for you to discover + leaderboard rewards totalling 508 PLEX.

  • 10B ISK in direct combat bounties for the capsuleers hunting in the region + leaderboard rewards totalling 2100 PLEX .

  • 1000 PLEX for Live HVT Flash Bounties.

  • 6b and 20 PLEX currently held in reserve.

The DMZ runs on cooperation and conflict in equal measure, with Industrial and exploration rewards starting to go up around 14:00 EVE Time on the 26th. For industrial pilots this will include rewards for top miners and haulers during the 5 hour window, all tracked using freelance jobs so get training!
Updates will go on the website page, discord, and social posts. More specific details will be released on the day via the in-game channel “SyndicateDMZ” and my twitch stream Lloyd_George_art.

Solo PvP Leaderboard (5000 PLEX Pool)

Solo PvP rewards will go to the top 3 solo PvPers on zKillboard.com for the whole day, and your kills will be judged* so no cheesing! These competitors have one Golden Rule and are strictly barred from touching industrial hulls**. Hunt the escorts, hunt the roamers, fight each other but leave the miners and haulers alone, or get stripped from the prize pool entirely. Protect the ecosystem, and everyone gets paid.

1st - 2500 PLEX

2nd - 1500 PLEX

3rd - 1000 PLEX

*Killboards will be scrutinized, this is a contest to challenge solo PvPers and as such rewards will only be sent out to players deemed to have met the challenge in good faith and I hold the final say in all rewards.
**Any mining/hauling ships (Mining being ships that have a hull mining bonus, Hauling being ships with large cargo, a cargo bonus or having specialized holds) killed that are fitted with scram, web or disruptor will be considered “fair game” and will NOT result in disqualification.

Lucrative Freelance Industrial & Exploration Contracts

To jumpstart economic activity across the region and fuel local manufacturing lines during the event window, a dedicated 12 Billion ISK industrial pool has been established. This is to reward both mining and hauling pilots willing to brave transit lanes and service regional collection hubs.

  • Event Miners - Freelance job tracking mining Event Ore’s.

  • Event Haulers - Freelance Jobs for delivering said Event Ore.

  • Solo miners - Freelance job tracking mining Event Ore’s.

    • These have a combined PLEX pool of 2440 split into 8 leaderboards (305 each) and awarded as:
      • 1st - 152 PLEX
      • 2nd - 76 PLEX
      • 3rd - 46 PLEX
      • 4th - 31 PLEX
  • Newbie (under 35 days old) miners - Freelance job tracking the mining of any Ore’s within the Syndicate region earning 10isk per unit mined and a leaderboard PLEX pool of 720.

    • 1st - 280 PLEX
    • 2nd - 150 PLEX
    • 3rd - 90 PLEX
    • 4th - 50 PLEX
    • 5th to 10th places all get 25 plex each.
    • All mining frigates are being underwritten by Freelance Insurance Job up to a value of 15m.

2b ISK will be used to fund our explorers, so among the many wrecks we hope you’ll be able to loot and salvage from, you’ll also have other ways to grab something for yourself.

  • DMZ Caches: Several illicit caches have become visible across the sector. Find them to claim great riches, but be warned: these sites can easily be spoofed, looted, or camped!
    • Deep-Space Positioning: All event containers are anchored at non-linear safe spots and are unprobable… for now.
    • The Hunt: Container names start with operational descriptors (like Fried, Burnt, or DMZ) and end with container-sounding terms (like Cache).
    • Security & Access: Containers are password-protected. Access codes are derived using alphanumeric sum values (A=1) based on the container’s designated prefix and suffix nomenclature (e.g., DMZ (4+13+26 = 43) + Cache (3+1+3+8+5 = 20) = 4320).
    • Rewards & Risks: Payouts range from total destruction to 900M ISK in loot (inc. 212 PLEX spread between them), alongside unique recovery items that secure your spot on the live explorers leaderboard, 4 pools of 127 PLEX are available for each of the following: Ded Informant’s Corpse, Serpentis Staff Passcard, Drugdealer Passcard to Storage Area and Traffic Management Passkey.
      • 1st - 67 PLEX
      • 2nd - 33 PLEX
      • 3rd - 20 PLEX
      • 4th - 7 PLEX
      • Freelance Jobs for recovering these items will go up at around 14:00, the same time the sites start becoming probable, and at this time further containers or ships may also start appearing close to celestials or in safe spots!
  • All T1 exploration frigates for under 35 day olds are being underwritten by Freelance Insurance Job.

All-Day Combat Bounties (10B ISK Pool)

Combat bounties will go up at the start of 26th and be listed under 6 freelance jobs (you’ll need to train freelance skill to level 3 to be able to accept them all, but level 4 or 5 would be best). Each job will be exhausted when the job’s reward pool has run dry or its 7 days have passed, at which point the funds will return to the issuing Corporation for redistribution. Bounties are awarded to the highest damage on the killmail of ships/groups in the following categories:

  • Group 1: Bounty 1.0M ISK (1.0B ISK pool (1,000 kills)) Navy frigate, cruisers, logistics frigates, electronic attack ship, interceptor, navy destroyer, covert ops, assault frigates, damavik, kikimora.

  • Group 2: Bounty 1.5M ISK (1.5B ISK pool (1,000 kills)) Navy cruisers, interdictors, command destroyers, rodiva, battlecruisers, worm, garmur, tactical destroyers, vedmak, dramiel.

  • Group 3: Bounty 2.0M ISK (2.0B ISK pool (1,000 kills)) Daredevil, mamba, mekubal, astero, succubus, cruor, heavy assault cruiser, navy battlecruiser, logistics cruisers, battleships.

  • Group 4: Bounty 3.0M ISK (2.0B ISK pool (666 kills)) Recon ship, drekavac, gila, cynabal, tholos, orthrus, phantasm, heavy interdiction cruiser, ashimmu, command ships.

  • Group 5: Bounty 6.0M ISK (2.0B ISK pool (333 kills)) Vigilant, stratios, navy battleships, strategic cruiser, leshak, alligator, cenotaph, khizriel, Ikitursa, marshal.

  • Group 6: Bounty 10.0M ISK (1.5B ISK pool (150 kills)) Black ops, vindicator, marauders, nestor, bhaalgorn, barghest, nightmare, rattlesnake, machariel, zarmazd.

Each of those 6 bounty groups gets a 350 PLEX pool, distributed as 175, 87, 53, and 35 PLEX for the top 4 places. (prizes adjusted due to miscalculation)

NB: Some ships are in multiple groups, most notable of these are the Marshal, Ikitursa and Zarmazd which should get a bounty for their respective group + their ship grouping i.e logistics, black ops and heavy assault, Pirate and Navy ships may also gain this double bonus.

Live HVT Flash Bounties

1,000 PLEX will be used to fund Live High-Value Target (HVT) bounties. These targets will be called out dynamically and announced live on the ingame SyndicateDMZ channel throughout the event!

Reserve funds 6b ISK and 20 PLEX.

Logistics & Local Reshipping

Fenris Creations has donated a legendary 5000 plex!

A very cool initiative! Syndicate is one of my favorite regions in EVE; Y9G was the fist nullsec system I ninja mined some ABC ores in back in 2004

I think its the best npc nullsec region and it has a uniqueness to it, its also very quiet recently

In addition to these systems, Weather Station will provide 1.4B in public contracts in RF-GGF for the following fitted Matari combat hulls: Claw, Wolf, Talwar, Stabber, Rupture, Bellicose, Hurricane, and Cyclone.

Note that these loadouts will not be configured for solo PvP; rather, they are indy fleet defense configurations. Contracts will go live in the wee hours of Friday night.

and whot if said miners and indy ship have faction modules in it ?

if you want to win the solo pvp plex, no shooting any industrial type hulls, now I know I don’t have to say it because its just common sense but that includes any ship commonly used for industrial activities i.e any haulers or mining ships (commonly the only ships with mining or hold bonuses) with the exemption that if a ship of this type has fitted a scram, web or disruptor, they will be classed as fair game. (I guess that means you’ll have to wait for them to attack you?)
The top solo killers from the day in Syndicate will be looked into 1 by 1, judged and prizes awarded - we want to avoid any cheesing and see some real solo PvP spirit on the day,

There should hopefully be plenty going on for everyone, even those who cba training the freelance jobs and just want to disrupt things.

Sorry, guys, but I think you may have accidentally created a DMZ in a PvP game where the only thing harder to find than a few targets is someone who actually wants to undock.

You’re probably right but I do hope you’re wrong!
We have a leaderboard on the solo pvp at least!
And the top 2 are already disqualified so its still anyones game

“disqualified” Implies someone agreed to abide by a set of rules and we have done no such thing, the word you’re looking for is; excluded.

Escobar Slim the Third and the Bubbles of PF

Escobar Slim the Third was a salesman of love potions, as had been his father, and his father’s father before him. The Slim family had been bottling romance, desire and various questionable aphrodisiacs for three generations. Big Slim, as he was known to friends and creditors alike, had never considered himself a particularly adventurous businessman.

Until the day he was sent to Syndicate.

There were rumours, you see, of black-market potion dealers operating out there. Narcotics merchants. Unlicensed chemists. Men who sold mysterious substances in dark stations and claimed they could make anyone fall in love for only 4,000,000 ISK. Even cold hearted Nalia or Kruton.

Naturally, Escobar Slim regarded these people as competition.

So he took a shuttle.

His business trip began uneventfully. Then he entered PF.

He saw bubbles.

Not metaphorical bubbles. Actual bubbles.

They drifted across the system like the froth on some enormous and particularly unpleasant bath. Big Slim stared through the shuttle’s canopy.

“What on earth is that?”

Nobody answered.

As he approached FD, things became considerably worse.

Ships were huddled around the PF gate in great miserable clusters, buzzing like diseased flies waiting for the next lump of excrement to fall from a poorly fitted noob ship. Fighters, frigates, cruisers and assorted vessels of dubious structural integrity loitered in the darkness.

Big Slim sighed.

“Syndicate,” he whispered.

He landed at a tactical.

The shuttle emerged from warp.

And then something extraordinary happened.

A Proteus decloaked.

For one brief moment, the system seemed to hold its breath.

Then the tactical shook as the Proteus began to declaim.

But Big Slim was ready.

His perfume radiated from the shuttle, a magnificent cloud of jasmine, sandalwood and proprietary Slim Family Secret No. 7. It swept through the stagnant air of Syndicate like divine intervention.

The local channel went strangely quiet.

Eyes watched.

Big Slim navigated each gate.

Every jump seemed to attract another pair of eyes. Every gate camp seemed to contain somebody wondering whether the little shuttle would survive another few kilometres of New Eden.

Then came Crack Sparrow.

And Scary Pie Half One.

The two pirates suddenly decided that a love-potion salesman travelling through Syndicate represented an intolerable threat to regional security.

They raced for another ship.

“BOMB HIM!”

Big Slim looked behind him.

A new ship appeared.

Then another.

The shuttle warped.

Missiles screamed through empty space.

Explosions blossomed behind him.

And somehow—

the shuttle lived.

Big Slim laughed.

He warped onward through the remaining sectors, his perfume trail lingering behind him like the ghost of a better Syndicate.

At one gate he encountered Lizzie, a Soup Salesperson of some renown.

Big Slim waved.

Lizzie waved back.

And for a moment, Escobar Slim the Third smiled at the sheer absurdity of it all.

For this was Syndicate.

A place where the risk-averse PvP crowd would suddenly discover the value of caution whenever the proper Army of Killers entered local.

John Lawyer and his eastern cohorts.

The Scary Warm Hole people.

Mega Power Bouncy Blob.

And, of course, the Queen herself—

TINKLEHELL, the Cyno Hot Girl and her Followers.

When these names appeared in local, brave warriors became poets of retreat.

Ships vanished.

Safespots multiplied.

The gates became mysteriously empty.

And Big Slim, watching all this from the safety of his increasingly fragrant shuttle, began to weep.

A lament played over the comms.

A lament for Rooks and Kings of Agony Unleashed.

A lament for the Syndicate of old.

A Syndicate that, according to every old pirate who had ever docked in FD, had once been pure.

Pure violence.

Pure stupidity.

Pure, glorious nonsense.

“This,” Big Slim whispered, wiping a tear from his cheek, “is not the Syndicate I was promised.”

He looked at his cargo hold.

There were twelve bottles of Love Potion No. 3.

Not one had sold.

He sighed.

“One day,” he said, “they’ll probably do an industry event.”

And then he jumped through the gate.

Years passed.

The markets changed.

The pirates changed.

The camps changed.

The bubbles remained.

And eventually, one glorious day, they did indeed hold an industry event.

Escobar Slim the Third received the invitation.

He stared at it for several minutes.

Then he opened a bottle of his finest potion, poured himself a glass, and raised it toward the distant stars.

“To Syndicate,” he said.

“To commerce.”

“To industry.”

“And, above all…”

He smiled.

“…to surviving the shuttle.”

And somewhere beyond the PF gate, something exploded.

Big Slim nodded knowingly.

Some things, at least, never changed.

No one is excluded from taking part or running around Syndicate PvPing. However, if you want to earn a spot and claim one of the prizes for this solo PvP competition, you are agreeing to the terms, in which case, it’s disqualification.
This isn’t rocket science.

I understand what you mean. But we never entered your event and you can’t be disqualified from something you never entered (or applied for) in the context of a competition. So you’re excluding us from the results of your event. Disqualification in the context of a competition implies punishment for non confirmation to a set of rules. If you’re assuming everyone active in syndicate today is participating in your event, that’s on you. It’s not rocket science, but words have meanings in a certain context. And I happen to take exception to the mere implication any of us in SKRMR would have agreed to a rule set that requires non-violence towards industrialists.
