T3 TACTICAL Cargo Haulers - SQUALL T3? Modular CARGO MODULES?

My Loki weights 15.000 TONS. That’s the Weight of I don’t know… half the Pyramid of Giza???

And it’s cargo bay, can take just 450 Sq\mt of cargo???

Anyway, before adjusting normal T3’s cargo to have a better sized cargo compartment,

how’s finished the idea of making T3 tactical transporter???

The NullPrime Hull is beautiful, a bit similar to an Orca… better than a Purpoise…

just Aesthetically speaking BUT….

Where has that Cargo Space gone???

Those things can squeeze in Gas and this and that…. but we still can’t get a proper

T3 transporter that we can change cargo type from Fleet hangar to Ore to Ammo or Ice Isotopes???

-

Where have the cogwheel turning these last five years??? Round??

Pyramid weighs millions of tons, chief.

Zumwalt-class destroyers displace around 15,000 tons.

5.75 million tons. (metric)

And I’d also say that it makes sort of sense that the T3’s have less space as they are made to be modular and not space efficient, that aside its pretty well balanced, thou i’d like to see a dedicated ammo hold on them and be able to fit 3 or 4 subsystems in the sub bay.. But yea size/weight does not equal cargo space. And its meters cubed, not squared. 450 Cubic meters is about equals to 1 fifth of the olympic swimingpool. That’s a lot for a loki, a ship designed for modularity and versatility.
A bit like asking why a dragster (dragracing car) or F1 isn’t hauling cargo with a semi after it, it has more Horsepowers than a semitruck afterall.. Different design specs my man.

Is it possible not to open a new thread for every brainfart?

Ploing, times flies, we have very little time to live, so do your best try not to annoy other with your noises. Thanks.

We have been robbed of FULL HULL SHIPS from LPs store, NO ONE BLINKED AN EYE.

NOW an ASTERO is going to cost 200 MIL BY NEXT WEEK.

It was SUPPOSED to BE an ALPHA FRIEnDLY SHIP.

Reprocess the ship and guess what? YOU DONT GET ANYT OF the new SOE r38n4THOR back.

TIME YOUR NOISES CAREFULLY!

The Space is big, and it’s FULL of GIGANTIC noises.

And you get disturbed by a tiny one?

HOW MANY HAVE YOU HEARD

lately and got everybody knows?

All Ships have tiny cargoes, and T3 ships, modular ships, with modular cargoes?

It has been there for 15 years as a “NOISE” but never addressed

in time EVE evolves, gets more complicated, SCIENCE in particular….

And We now have specialized cargos from new ships like the SQUALL

or the FLEET ORE ship, how that called?

SO YOU findit strange to talk about CURRENT T3 ships having access to say a

MODULAR FLEET HANGAR module?

Space is full of random NOIS3Z.—-

-

People USE the PURPOISE as a TACTICAL refit-CARGO WH ALT back up ship.

The CATALYST(sorry, the new SOE SHIP name I forgot) should be able to do the SAME but 100times better… BUT…

ARE THERE MODULAR -CARGO- SUB-SYSTEMS???

The ANSWER is NO…

NOW ASK yourself a question…. WHY NOT???

The Purpoise has a Fleet hangar of 5000mt, up to 7.500mt at Lv5….

It’s TINY…. It can not even scoop up a Venture, unless it’s been repackaged and shrinked…

I guess Cruiser or BCruiser sized can only fit one class lower but here it’s just an example of

how small these hangars are…

AND has ZERO anti-NEUT bonuses…

I really hope the new SOE ship will fix some of these gameplay issues…

It would be cool to take around your Big Zero-Mass brother with an Astero inside that could be deployed behind enemy lines… assemble and refit a Black Op each time or just ready to go….

It ultimately depends if CCP wants to “ease” the stress on its servers or not…

There’s a lot of back-talk to this argument…

coming with the Catalyst Expansion…

PS: Yes, I know, I have posted this already, even before the Bowhead was a thing… I sold my freighter to buy the Bowhead… but times flies… everything shifts forward and some stuff needs to be moved manually…. in other worlds…

I can’t even fly this ship…

The Deluge cargo is MASSIVE, but it’s really very specific…

I mean…. maybe some hangars could play a double role???

I mean these are beautiful Hulls and they are on par with Mastodon and other Transporter

ships of similar size… maybe… just maybe…. one day there will be a T3 Transporter???

I mean…. a unpackaged CRUISER ship is about 270K sq/mt…. It’s almost as if it could….

but no….

No other T2 Transporter is able to host a full equipped Cruiser ATM…

I just made my thoughts Al0Ud… I don’t want to bother anyone here…

Im not going to read that word salad :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

The Porpoise is a very small lightweight ship with the mass of half a cruiser, meant for boosting miners and carrying ore. It’s not going to carry full ships.

Nevertheless it can bring along an Exhumer or Barge repackaged in that fleet hangar.

No, the Upwell ships are designed by Upwell to be infrastructure haulers, not a ship hauler or ore hauler.

Stop trying to stuff unpackaged subcapitals in subcapital haulers. They’re too big.

Either repackage them or put them in a capital ship with ship maintenance bay.

Or put them into one of the few large subcaps with SMB like the Orca. The Odysseus also seems to have a SMB of 75k m3, that can fit a few frigates too. But no cruisers, those are simply too large.

But T3 Cruisers has Modular rigs, so in THEORY, they COULD be repackaged… and don’t lose their rigs… into a 75K mt sq … no??

Nope, ship maintenance bays are for assembled ships only.

But you’re pretty close to a trick I often use: repackaged T3Cs.

T3Cs are surprisingly small for a cruiser when repackaged (5k m3 rather than the usual 10k) and can be repackaged without loss of rigs so they easily can be transported in any ship that has 5k spare regular cargo hold, like a blockade runner, a Rorqual’s huge 175k m3 cargo expanded hold or that Porpoise’s bay you mentioned earlier.

A blockade runner can even fit 2 T3Cs with multiple refits all at once, so as long as you have somewhere to assemble the ships you can carry like 5 different configurations for all sorts of purposes all in one covert nullified ship.
