Corporations in nullsec usually pay a percentage of the ISK they earned in nullsec anomalies to their alliance. Would’nt it be better if the Alliance holding the TCU could set a tax rate for the bounty payouts of the entire system? This way the TCU becomes more meaningful and alliances can earn isk without the paper work.
I thought it might be a good addition to CCPs attempts of improving management of player groups like corp financing through projects. Would be way easier for alliances to just set a tax on the systems they hold and its fully automatic.
Your point of sabotaging is one that i had in mind too, a reinforced TCU for example that could not collect tax or even worse a captured TCU that would collect money for your enemy.
An enemy alliance could capture a TCU, set the tax to 100% which could affect the active defense modifier, because whenever the Ihub owner tries to raise the ADM to keep the timer in his prime, the owner of the TCU would profit from that.
Sure, it is a possibility. Although i heavily doubt that a neutral would be tolerated in the space as it is a potential threat for your own ratters and it’s “content” for your pvp players.
I like it. Instead of just capturing, I suggest you allow the TCU to be hacked, probably in multiple locations (so maybe something like 5 consecutive hacks) and then sit on it like an ess or fw beacon in order to take control of it.
Once vanguard integration comes online, you could send in the grunts do take control, instead of forcing players to sit on the beacon while doing nothing.
Alternatively, you could just shoot the tcu and blow it up.
Alliances pay a fee to Concord to recognize their claim over the system. Concord pays the bounties out to capsuleers. Concord might put a cap on what they’re willing to allow Alliance’s to tax the system bounties, but they certainly would do it to some degree.
