The CSM 13 Winter Summit Minutes are out

They arent immune to wars.

In my suggestion, they can buy that immunity, for the same cost it would cost to wardec them.

CONCORD doesnt care if its a defender or an aggressor that pays them, for immunity or a wardec, respectively, as long as they get paid.

Tell me Salvos
Can you currently be at war in highsec without paying the CONCORD wardec fee?

If we go down that route, surely the attacker could then just bribe CONCORD more.

I am not Salvos.

Can you currently be immune to war in HS by paying the same fee to CONCORD?

Wardeccers pay CONCORD to look the other way on their aggression.
Defenders, in my suggestion, pay CONCORD to ignore the wardec bribe, because they have already been paid by the defender, against aggressors.

The defender already paid CONCORD for immunity, so CONCORD will ignore people trying to pay them for a wardec on them, as they already got paid.

CONCORD doesnt care, either way, as long as they get paid, by either aggressor or defender.
The amount of payment is the same.

You’re immune for free as long as no one pays CONCORD to declare war on you.

Checkmate

If you don’t want wars, there’s npc corps.
If you want all the advantages player corps can give, there’s a price to pay.

False.

There is no immunity to wardec, before one has been issued, currently.

Thats the point of this suggestion.

If you pay CONCORD the same fee for immunity, as it would for a wardeccer to aggress you, per week, they dont care. They already got paid by the defender to ignore the wardecs issued by others, against them.

Hmmm… you’re like 350 circle-quotes too late to deny who you are. :woman_shrugging:

Can you then explain why I’m not at war with anyone currently?

The temporary immunity already exists, otherwise every corp would be at war with each other :joy:

Sure.

But you would be able to pay CONCORD the same fee as a Player Corp, against wardec as it would a Player Corp wardeccer to aggress you.

CONCORD doesnt care, as long as they are paid.

If a defender Corp has paid an immunity fee before you pay a wardec fee, then they paid first and their contract takes precedent.

If it costs 50mil to wardec a <51member Corp, as paid to CONCORD, they dont care if someone else pays them 50mil for their <51member Corp NOT to be wardecced. Its the same 50mil, and they already got paid.

If you can wardec them before they buy immunity, fine.
If they bought immunity first, then fine too, your wardec is refused.

Or you could put social corps with no access to player owned structures and higher base tax and be immune to wars :joy:

Your system will make the powerful more powerful and :poop: on the small poor guys just looking to mine in peace

But you knew that already didn’t you? /s

Much simpler to allow the existing Player Corp structure to buy wardec immunity at the same rate, as it would cost to wardec them.

CONCORD doesnt care, and gets paid either way.

Is it?
Many things can go wrong if you add more coding to already old code…

New code can’t go as bad

Yes.

Its not hard.

Just use the same code basis used to declare a wardec at its current cost based on members, and apply it to the defender paying the same to not be wardec applicable for a week.

Obviously, a wardec immune Corp will also not be able to buy a wardec on anyone else.

So you’re now a videogame coder as well? Lmao

CONCORD doesnt care who pays them.

Whether its a Player Corp buying a wardec, or a Player Corp buying immunity from wardec.
They get paid, the same amount, either way, in my suggestion.

Sure Salvos, sure.

It’s just not needed.
And it, again, obviously favors the richer players.

Not those that would actually need such a mechanic :joy:

Charge per person.

Doesnt favor either the wardeccer or immunity buyer.

Its just 50mil for a week, for <51 members, either way.

If you could pay for war immunity the only the newest players/corps would ever be vulnerable. It would just become another ‘optional’ corp cost.

They arent vulnerable, if they dont form a Player Corp till they can pay for its immunity, or if they instead join an existing Player Corp that buys immunity.

They would in all cases be less vulnerable with my suggestion, that they are now.

Now they have NO opportunity against wardecs, if they form a Player Corp.
