The EVE Online Ecosystem Outlook

CCP stopped because the EVE community is garbage and takes roadmaps, piles on a ton of asinine assumptions, and then sends CCP devs death threats when the changes don’t turn out to be like their own fanfictions.

That doesn’t paint a very good picture of the devs. I like to think they don’t want anyone knowing what changes are coming, and taking advantage before everyone else knows.
Which implies even more huge changes.

What? How would a roadmap saying “we’re looking at addressing cloaky camping” like they’ve just announced be “taken advantage of”?

Ignoring the fact that most of the market speculation and “taking advantage of” actions were mostly based off changes to SISI and Hoboleaks, nothing to do with CCP’s announcements of roadmaps.

Golly! That’s hilarious!!

Forget about cloaky camping, consider some of the other items such as carriers, marauders, orcas, rorqs, redefining the 5 spaces. I have no doubt that some groups are running through possible scenarios based on what CCP have said. Even the best “no comment” or “I can neither confirm nor deny” could give away the direction CCP is heading.

Are you expecting changes to cloaky camping to be hugely significant in most cases?

And yet, what I said was pretty much verbatim what CCP Psych said.

“AFK cloaky camping, with improved systems to get rid of the frustration of AFK cloaking and its total lack of counterplay without removing the ability for hunters to catch lazy prey”

-the solution is very simple! Makes the local in 0.0 space like a WH local!
so there is more dynamic in 0.0

Why would you even ask this question? I’m not the one making the change, who gives a crap?

I was just pointing out that CCP giving us a roadmap like they did now is pretty rare and that it’s dumb to see people throwing a hissyfit over it and threatening to unsub. This isn’t about things getting “taken advantage of.”

Can Eve Online survive another 1 year? If all CCP’s plan can only retain half of the current clients will it be enough to keep it running.?

Congratulations CCP on breaking your own game! Didn’t think you guys could or would, but you have. If you think the “healthy” state of the game is a hop and a skip away you fools are sadly mistaken. The only thing keeping this game going at the moment is the war, once that’s done…mass unsub. Again Congratulations, you guys deserve all the credit for making this game so damn broken that playing it is painfully unsatisfying.

“It remains to be hoped that in 2021, however, the CCP will show more flexibility in its approach to the needs of its clients and will try to provide a well-tested and balanced content and solutions so that the game actually stands firm on the restoration path rather than going even deeper into the bottom.”

Amen - and just let me say from here your mineral distribution rework is and remains absurd - in a natural working UNIVERSE - things are chaotically random! So F****ing fix it.

if things need to balance out give the empires teeth, expand the actual mappable UNIVERSE, and introduce well thought alien options which players could join - welcome to 2021 and greater computing powers…

I’m gonna die, I just know it, but what a way to go!

CCP has been ruining my game since 2011, as a solo/small time pirate and wardeccer they made it nigh impossible to do your craft.

But instead of whining about it and claiming it would be the end of the game I simply sucked it up, looked for new opportunities and adapted.

So, suck it up. Look for new opportunities and adapt.

Your average krabbing boat makes ~15 million isk per tick (20 minutes).
It also doesn’t stop Covert Cynos, which is what’s most commonly used for ganking.

This is exactly the reason why these unsub “boycotts” never work. People can’t stop playing this game, and even after unsubbing you’re going to keep their player count numbers up and keep bodies in space, which is content for them.

Did you read what I said?
I’m not, I’m making a single new alpha account with which I will go on a little rampage across highsec. Most likely I will learn everything there is to know about concord, but in so doing I will make a total pain in the ass of my self. My targets will be anything I can kill in a Corvette with civilian weapons, though I might go after much larger stuff just to make people’s adrenaline spike.
Oh, and elected officials, they need killing in the worst way.
