How can we trust Corp members when we /I can’t trust CCP

Eve is starting to look like a toilet bowl.

If your toilet bowl looks like that then you need to shut off Eve and clean your house.

They killed a perfectly good system, that had 3x blue ice belts and see local noone goes there.

I had such a good setup there and its all ruined and can’t trust what they will do next to the system I moved. Anywhere I go and setup it is sweet for like a few weeks then they find me. It is like they are watching what I am doing and see when I undock my fleet. They are evil and can’t be trusted right now.

I have seen some pretty big carebear fleets in those Trig systems.

There aren’t any big null wars anymore. Not like in the old days. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Yes empires getting bigger and bigger is the natural course of events but CCP have done everything they can to encourage it and crush smaller powers in nullsec. Seems a very odd thing to do at first sight. And it would have been even easier for them to prevent this. And not by pulling the rug out from under the great powers.

I actually think what happened was CCP decided a while back they were going to be run over by Star Citizen or something and just to try and squeeze as much cash as they could out of Eve before it died. Just guessing. Can’t make any sense out of their actions otherwise.

Meh, I figure I would give an honest answer (instead of just snark). So, I’ve heard individuals and corps complain about their alliances and coalitions blueing everyone around them, which makes it harder for them to find content. This is something I can sympathize with, and I don’t blame them for breaking away and forming groups with fewer to no permanent blues. What’s interesting, however, is that the anti-nullsec crowd, and other bitter vets looking for things to get angry at, will also wave the blue donut flag. Somehow, they ignore wars, glassings, evictions, coalition deaths, and power vacuums where small, unaffiliated alliances duke it out.

Now, I haven’t been playing since the beginning, so it’s possible that nullsec used to fight a lot more than it does now. If so, I could sympathize with anti-blue donut nullbloc members to some degree. However, if you don’t like it, you can always leave. You can join an unaffiliated alliance, start your own corp, go solo, whatever. Nothing is making you stay.

And the people who say that it’s impossible to break into nullsec straight up don’t know what they are talking about. They are spreading misinformation.

The Blue Donut

Okay, bigger more organized groups tend to have an easier time dealing with adversity and external threats, and tend to better equipped to take advantage of opportunities. Things seem to work similarly in real life, which is evident by the fact that humans have been slowly organizing into larger and larger groups over history (ie. tribes → City States → Nations → Alliances/Unions). But I digress. CCP hasn’t intentionally done much of anything to encourage bigger groups, and nothing to crush smaller powers. If they are guilty of anything, it is failing counter balance the advantages of cooperation, and the natural tendency for people to organize into large groups. But feel free to give specific examples. I’m sure they’ll clearly support your assertion that CCP is trying to crush the little guy.

You don’t say. Well, feel free to offer your ideas. If they are anything like the ones that have come before, they will be straight up punishments for the nullblocs, and usually easily circumvented. But, I could be wrong. So, let’s hear it. How would you encourage small scale cooperation without inadvertently benefiting the large groups?

You know what, explain it to me. For the sake of argument, let’s assume that CCP was trying to milk ever last dime out of a dying game. Exactly how would crushing small groups help them to get more dimes?

NOooooo, please don’t !..

Driving people into larger groups. By:

  1. Making longer range travel like the long range jump gates, jump clones, jump drives etc.
  2. Making Eve more dangerous and thus forcing people to join larger groups to survive. (eg blackout, station cores, filaments etc etc)
  3. Destabilising the game by frequent rules changes thus moving the power even further in favour of the heavy players over the casuals.

Trying to profit in the very short term by increasing the violence levels and switching to a pay to win game. This doesn’t actually work of course, the violence level is pretty much a built in constant but they don’t seem to realise that.

Another bit of useless propaganda from reds.
Yes. We are fighitng and Kill Mails are part of it.
What Ariana failed to mention is that they spin their ships in stations if they don’t have a great advantage and they lose ships every time they think they have a great advantage.
Oh, and why did TRC move to Niarja, lately? Isn’t that because their killboard was looking bad at “home”?

Don’t buy into red propaganda! Join the fight and spread the word!

We pick our battles just as CVA did. That’s called “being smart,” and what Caldranna failed to mention is that they are so often killed that they’ve become a meme. Corp members have had their killboards adjusted for “padding.” So, do you want to follow someone who gets wiped 20+ times a day? Or follow those who actually get the killmails?

Don’t buy into NRDS propaganda. Join us or stay out of our space!

(P.S. Caldranna, when’re you dropping by my home system again? I miss talking with you in local.)

So… why NRDS died…or is all but dead (word is GW had a NRDS toe hold). NRDS was fine, it worked. The problem most Noobs found out with NRDS is the moment you join a player corp chances were you became red (some idiot in your corp 3 years ago shot some miner). In the end however it wasn’t this diplo mess that killed NRDS. The Death of NRDS can be drawn directly from the provi civil war.

In CVA aligned alliances and Corps there were some idiots who made big isk mistakes and rather than saying “hope you learned something” EQ hammered Sound Mind to make the mistake whole. Which is BS you do a stupid trade in Jita everyone laughs at you. You do a stupid trade/contract anywhere in eve and everyone laughs at you however in these cases EQ decided to white knight and demand Sound Mind to make it go away. This is against the very basic ideals of EVE far more than NBSI, NPSI,NRDS. The truth is the moment EQ ceded the US TZ to the wolves by siding against Sound. I love -7- but they were never going to be enough to hold the line. And that was the beginning of the end. after that citadels and further changes made it impossible. FP is a righteous leader and I know had he the energy to take up EQ’s post we may still have a consolidated Provi. Ah well I at least have my memories, killing brave, killing goons, killing PL eagles lol, Killing test, nulli, NC, well pretty much everyone. What made provi truly amazing is that we took the fights.
