The future of Eve asset safety

Been gone for a little over a year so have a great deal of reading to catch up on. It sounds like the plan to eliminate all nondestructable ouposts has continued to progress. Wondering if some of you can give me an update on what the plan is going to look like for asset safety in future. Will there be anyplace that will be safe particularly for newbs in the future or will pilots be in danger of losing their home station even if they’ve only been playing for a week?

Hoping to get a summery and save myself weeks of reading.

I thought ALL npc stations were going by the wayside and were going to be made destructable?

No, only the player constructed outposts as well as the conquerable stations in sovereignty null sec will be converted into citadels. Everything NPC stays as it is. For now.
