How can they possibly know this? Are you sure it wasn’t “a second char on the same account as main”? Otherwise I wouldn’t rely on this statement.

I wasn’t suggesting EVERYONE in hisec is an alt of a nulsec main. I’m suggesting that if pretty much everyone in another area of space has an alt for hisec stuff (most do in my experience) that will shift the metrics to show a much larger playerbase in Hisec than is factual.
I was referring to the real world analogy that was made.
