Hello lovelies. Today we had a family reunion. We had a wonderful lunch together. I am in high spirits. But that is not the thing important to me I wanted to share.
As you know I am interested in being fit. Until I’m able to go to the gym, I do calisthenics at home. Through YouTube, I also do research on how to eat and train. After watching several videos, YouTube suggested a video for me titled: “The only bodybuilder to get a perfect score.” I watched it out of curiosity and learned that there was indeed a bodybuilder in bodybuilding history to get a perfect score from the judges.
His name was Mike Mentzer and scored a perfect 300 at Mr. Universe 1978. He then became a professional bodybuilder by competing in 1979 Mr. Olympia. There, he scored a perfect 300 again and won the “Heavy Weight” division of the competition only to lose against the “Light Weight” winner Frank Zane in the final. In the following year he competed in 1980’s Mr. Olympia and at that competition, Arnold Schwarzenegger made a dick move by joining the competition on the competition day because there was no rule preventing him from doing so. Arnold won the competition and incited protests from the other competing bodybuilders. Mike placed 4th and vowed never to return again at the young age of 29. He accused of the competitions being rigged and wasn’t on good terms with Arnold until his death.
At the start of the 90s, Mike took a young British boy under his wings and trained him by his training principles. That boy went on to win Mr. Olympia 6 times between 1992-1997. The boy showed no signs of slowing until he tore his left arm’s biceps and triceps 3 weeks before the 1997 competition. The then boy’s name was Dorian Yates.
Here are some photos of Mike Mentzer:

Mike died on June 10, 2001 at the age of 49. His nickname was “Mr. Heavy Duty”.
The reason why I like M.M. is because he is aesthetically muscular and not too buff.
