The like and get likes thread II

Just like in the Bioshock: Infinite game. The city of Columbia, where the game is set is afloat above the clouds.

More like slowly approach a higher Mach and begin burning fuel as if it was falling out of the plane.

Well, technically you can have floating islands in space too, on orbit. I think we should get ability to put little homes with CQ on asteroids in EVE.

I kind fo suggested that, I called them “space cottages”. Highly customizable, with the same non-profit functions as stations (dock, storage, fitting and insurance). Would be limited to 1 per account and installing one would take a 500 million ISK “installation fee”. They would be authomaitcally removed and “stored” after 3 months of inactivity, and installing them again would require paying again the 500 million fee. Any items stored would be moved to the nearest NPC station.

The woudl be dockable in pre-designed spots (aka “orbit slots”) of which the ones with better vistas would be traded for a premium. Customization would be paid for with PLEX and would include adding modules, changing the structure SKIN and some crazy stuff like holo-reels of all ships owned by the pilot (those would be displayed in space, virtually). Also would have a moduel to list & display corpses or a module to holoprint the owner’s wealth on top of the strcuture.

Of course, space cottages would be indestructible (thus the null financial value) and the whole list of potential upgrades and updates (that is, pimping them to the top) would hover around the 20 to 30 billion ISK rpice tag.

This feature would have been added along with Citadels so PvErs had something to look for with he whole Upwell stuff. At this point though, there’s not enough PvErs left to justify the effort. CCP lost that train.

I seriously object all settings where stuff just floats without a reason. I can buy giant airships, orbit stations and the such, but stuff just hovering a few hundred meters over the ground for no reason… no. It breaks the deal. Gravity is a powerful force, we can’t just ignore it.

Right, there are already factors which needs to be fixed since it has reached points over the maximum limit on this planet.
We not only need more space, but also better planning and better actual procedures to put it in practice.

This should not be based on influence, but on facts.
It’s also not good to rely on influence to justify inequalities.
Inequalities are not good, on the contrary, they can lead to revolt, as those revolting will justifiably try to save their lives from inequalities while not being inequal, except where they are made to be by those profiting too much from it at the depends of some healthy competition.

Note here that “health” is a myth, and that healthy competition is a myth for the part of the health.
It does work the other way around.

Furthermore,
The end of easy oil, and subsequent global collapse
…The EROI is defined as the ratio of gross energy produced, TEProd, to energy
invested to obtain the energy produced, ERes.

The EROI can be related to the FCAOR used in the LTG. Since the capital (machinery eg., pumps,
vehicles) operated in the resource sector, CRes, is basically representative of the overall machinery
stock, CTtl, the energy intensities will be similar and therefore the ratio of capital can be approximated
by the ratio of energy used in the resource sector, ERes, to total energy consumed, TECons.

Since the total energy consumed in any year will be approximately equal to the total energy produced
(because stocks of energy stored are relatively small and don’t change significantly from year
to year) TECons ≈ TEProd, then equations 1 and 2 give:

More retardatation with carbon dating.

Lol. Transonic maybe but not much more than that unless you want to die.

I wonder if its feasible today to power all the chain of industry with solar energy of current efficiency, all of manufacturing, all of services, all home needs, all battery production, all mining, all food production, all logistics. All I can find are some rather narrow cases. Nothing considered globally.

My graduation included this electronic data transaction system, EDTS.
2017 China Mobile Payment $18.8 trillion
2017 China GDP $12.9 trillion

Note here that, Mobile Payment systems are one step or a few steps more advanced than membership programs, or , that they integrate them in the transaction systems.
Either way, the original 1992 program still works, at 18.8 trillion per year in 2017 in China.

Not surprising it was robbed and I will still work on it and on systems to secure it despite further attacks.
We had one or 2 chinese students, and a few more oriental (Korean and Vietnamese, for one) students as well (most likely with Visas).
