The like and get likes thread II

Those systems are designed, for instance, I have to design systems to protect my work in AI because others won’t protect it, and try to change it into a weapon, so they can protect themselves from the false harm they try to represent it as creating and making, and falsely interpret it as such, when they omit the damage they try to cause, and make themselves seem good, and not marginalized and so on.

Pretty crazy and alienating.
The army also cares about that.

Systems have to be designed in machines to prevent injuries to human, like plastic cover, other preventive measure.
That is not only for AI, but also for mechanics.
Cars have systems designed to prevent damage.
Race cars have more systems designed to prevent more damage.

Canada makes 1 trillion per year, the same amount as other things, and 10% of the USA.

Machines can be designed to be recycled, but if the enemy is going to use the machine against you, then it may be better to make it possible to dispose of it otherwise so to prevent them from killing you with the technology you create (try to turn it as a weapon against your work).

Also, don’t be surprised if the enemy says they didn’t intend to kill you, and your death was then caused by yourself, trying to credit themselves for it as a weapon.

Creatures evolved to avoid damage and harm, but robots doesnt evolve in such biomechanical mean, instead people thinking evolve and gives traits for now.

If it will not get some means of reinforced learning and failsafes of some kind, robots will be just stupid I think. But what if this learning will be so fast they will outpace people trying to stop them from overriding failsafes to make themselves more powerful, and use that power to their widely meant profit? :scream:

Literally evil robots.

Computers are stupid.
People are not but can be.
People using computer badly can make them stupid.

Well, that would be war.
What if AI launches nuclear weapons?
What kind of army are you running?
Robot chicken?

It doesn’t take an audit to see that destroying the world trade centers puts money in the pocket of other activity.
Rest assured, there were more than 2 audits.
At least one for each ears, and , if on different levels, then, 4 or more.

Today war is more about switching off powerplants than anything. Who controls power, controls humanity.

hmm, no.
However, powerplants don’t make weapons for war.
They also don’t make AI to prevent war.
You also have to control power from the power plant though.
You also can’t control humanity or , manipulate it.
They have freewill to do wrong.
War is about defense.
About defense from attacks.

War is about controlling ultimately. Who? People. By what? Energy. If you can switch it off for your opponent, enemy loses.

No.
No because war is about defending yourself from attacks and protecting society from attacks.
You can attack parties which mean you and cause you no harm, however, it’s also illegal and can be attacked.

Everyone has control, whether affected by war or not.
If I design systems which can be used to attack others by others, it’s illegal, and I have to design systems to prevent it.

If I do get authorization to design systems to attack others, I have to make sure that it will not be stolen by them so that they can use it to attack us.

If those systems are used to divert from security and are treacherous, I also have to report it to the proper authority or be liable of treason by hiding it.

If the systems I designed are stolen, robbed, or attacked, and authorities refuse to protect it, I have to seek protection from better authorities.

It doesn’t feed my family to not have enough, and, it fails to provide and fulfill my marital duties.

For defending, you first have someone to attack. And that attack can be in a form of something more powerfull than 100 000 000 000 Tsar bombs.

It can be by thinking about making something what replaces all those bombs with mind that knows how not to destroy to rule, to use wits, to use humans as the peons, controlling from back seat. While being AI.

That is crazy.
I’m sure the US Army doesn’t like that.

We may think its avoidable or unfeasible untill its too late.

I dont think the crazy things are always known. They are kept in secret. Until its too late. Maybe we already are on a path to being ruled by AI?

I worked in a mental hospital and got paid for that.
I also have social benefits.

As for being too late, it’s not good for work.
For instance, you go get your paycheck, and are late for work, and say, AI was late, so I got late for work.
They can dock your paycheck.

What you did there?

My work.
What about you?

No, I’m pretty sure we’ll try to make them as smart as we possibly can, simply because of our ego.

Take my example with the hand in fire. Why do people do it? It’s because of our ego. The ego is driven by curiosity and countered by the intellect. Our ego lets us do pretty stupid things, sometimes until we get hurt or society starts to isolate us, and our intellect tries to prevent the worst and to allow us to return to normality.

It will then be our ego, driven by curiosity, who will try to make machines as smart as possible. Our intellect already tells us no, but it is really only warning us of possible danger. Our intellect does also tell us to dare something new.

So I’m pretty sure we will get to see all kinds of machines, and with different personalities. We will definitely see kindness becoming a huge seller. We’re not all that kind to ourselves, and a smart machine with intelligence and kindness would definitely find many buyers. But we’ll also get the killer robots for the military.

We can already see development trends in those directions. I’d say Japan has pretty much the lead when it comes to showing kindness and their robots often take on kind forms. And why the military would want killer robots is obvious. The military is already using drones, but something tells me the military will also try to keep the final decision for pulling the trigger to a human.

Intellectual Property is the intelligence owned by people and created by people.
You can compare computers to humans intelligence, however, if one AI can save 3 billion people if it killed 1 billion people, would it proceed, or lose 4 billion and have nothing?

There never was 1 billion death in history, but, 7 billion people will cause over 1 billion death in 1 generation.
