Just make sure they don’t give you gluten for free.
I’m tempted to ask if that have burgers WITH gluten… gimme my gluten back!
A lot of gluten here
3,000 tons is double the largest stone used before.
Do not confuse RNA and RNI.
They don’t even work for robots. Asimov’s laws exist only to generate plot lines, not to solve any safety issues in the real world. You can tell that anyone that’s actually proposing that these laws are even remotely enough hasn’t thought about the problem of safe AI at all. And if those very same people are AI researchers, they’re incompetent at best.
People tried to extend them to more laws, but when it comes to developing AGI, there will be problems what to limit this type of AI to.
I think this will have to be very regulated creative process ultimately. Regulated by law.
There won’t be much of a process. Get it right from the start or we’re all doomed.
Bring politicians anywhere near it and we’ll be doomed even if the actual researchers don’t ■■■■ it up (which is rather doubtful, tbh).
I though about self regulating before politicians come. There must be some failsafe there.
Here, today we already see that programmers have to selfregulate or there will be potential deaths. There is product that uses programmers work and does stuff that can be potentially dangerous like driving.
If industry will not selfregulate, politicians will do it.
You want them to self-regulate themselves? Hahahahahaha. Start building a bunker.
Not only me. I actually followed this from this speech:
Except they won’t. Most programmers, especially those in “Silicon Valley” are so far removed from ethics that they wouldn’t recognize it if you were rubbing it right under their noses.
Certainly not practical, and only involved in the policy aspect.
Also, sorry, but just because I know better doesn’t mean they don’t make more money to pay others.
There are lots more rules involved in putting a program in a car or a plane.
Please verify.
I can still buy stocks easier than it is for them to pay me even though it shouldn’t be the case and that they should have paid me more before.
Just because they are being led to be confused by forces beyond their self-control scope doesn’t mean that I don’t have to learn the psychology and apply it.
Marketing is good for this level of psychological aspect of business, and, of course, the practical medical field of psychology.
Of course the programs have to be improved, sensors upgraded, maps made more accurate and systems update easier and more efficient to integrate, all the while improving the encryption to limit the risk of unauthorized control to take over the “work”.
That’s just part of the work.
When the work becomes obsolete, another new system has to be proposed and invested to be implemented as the older system is scrapped and parts of it are used for recycling.
It also makes running my own business more efficient.
Oh yes, you also can’t drive your car and eat your cake while using your cell phone, because you’re hacking.
The worst part is when the radio goes full blasts and kills the police coming to check on you, as another car drives by and chops him by accident.
Not a murder or capital murder.
Especially that weird copyright registered rap music.
But don’t underestimate the power of the management. I’ve worked as a software engineer for the space industry and there you have to follow strict rules and standards. The tests for the systems we’ve developed were about as extensive as the systems themselves, and the tests were designed to ensure they are getting exactly what they’ve asked for.
It’s then no different in the medical sector, which has it’s own safety standards and requirements for software systems. Same with the finance industry. They all have their own ways, traditions and trust issues to ensure that the people who work for them do exactly as they’re being told.
If management would rely blindly on people’s ethics then you would have a bigger problem.
The space industry is the sole exception. Rockets blowing up is rather expensive and warrants putting in the money to mathematically proof the code.
Most medical equipment is pretty much a junkyard.
And the finance industry? They run on 40 year old mainframes maintained by a dying breed of heavily underpaid COBOL developers.
Confidence is Earned and Trust is sacred.
You can’t please everyone, or at least not equally so even if you do.
Trust issues and anti-trust issues, and lack of trust and uncertainty, and also sometimes treason force me to move my work business and studies overseas.
There was a case for that there, for the exact same reasons, grounds, and, security, not much longer afterward.
They also do happen to have an organization Head-Quarter HQ there, just like a corporate HQ.
I have to make sure that I pay myself enough, not only in money, but in what the fiat currency exchange and related needs are.
Can’t rely on them since they would get attacked the same way again.
Have you been in a hospital lately? They do have some really fancy equipment these days. I wouldn’t mind writing software for an MRI system myself.
The finance sector is not so much about sophistication, but about integrity and trust. They do indeed trust their old systems more than some hot, new piece of software on a PC under Windows.
Yeah, it looks fancy. Until you realize what sort of operating system and code are actually running on that thing. Then you’ll just want to run away screaming.
Anyways, gotta go to a continental shift for 12 hours, and tomorrow, for 24 in 2 days.
Then I get 2 days off.
Health Hazards
- Respiratory or skin sensitization
- Carcinogenicity
- Reproductive toxicity
- Specific target organ toxicity – repeated exposure
Note: GHS also defines an Explosive class and the Environmental Hazards group (not mandatory). The WHMIS regulations do not currently include the Explosives hazard class. Explosives are covered by other legislation in Canada.
Reproductive toxicity?
Why the hell do I need an agency to find this kind of work for 3 months?
Get a new job without an agency.
Then get the same agency again to do the same work for 3 months probation again, from start of that 3 months, before getting hired from them?
Could it be some discrimination I have to go to law school to find out, or use, or correct?
It’s on sale again!
Sqeenix really ■■■■■■ their customers over with that one. One month after release it goes on a 33% sale and now two weeks later it’s on sale again. I pity everyone that pre-ordered it / bought it right away.
Personally I’ll wait a few more weeks myself and pick it up when that 75% sale hits in 2-3 months.
