Long day made even longer since I spent last night coughing and putting some sleep between cough episodes. Not my best night, which is a thing to note.

Time for me to get a new phone and I can’t decide what I want to get. But I do hate google so I guess that pretty much means a iphone or flip phone is pretty much the only options.
What do you seek in a cell phone/smart phone?
Large screen/plus size screen, after using a larger phone I don’t think I could go back to a smaller one.
Good battery life.
No ■■■■■■■■ bloatware that can’t be removed as I don’t have the time nor patience to deal with a rooted phone.
Works on the Verizon network.
Also ■■■■ google.
Now I would not touch an Apple PC with a 20ft pole but I really dont have any problems with their phones.
Yeah, Apple is a scumback company when it comes to that, but they’re still your pretty much only choice when you care about privacy and don’t want your phone OS and the apps on it to spy on you 24/7.
It’s pretty much either Apple, or rooting and self-maintaining an Android phone.
The only other alternative that comes to mind is Silent Circle’s Blackphone, which run a privacy-customized AOSP-Android. But since it doesn’t come with all the Google malware that’s bundled with Android, you’re rather limited in what apps you can install and use on it.
There is also symbian, but no new phones with it. And software is old too, if you can find it.
