Do they look Indian enough to become Miss India?
Many darker-skinned Indian believe they don’t and this contest just perpetuates the harmful stereotype of lighter skin = higher class / prettier.
Since I’ve always been able to recognize a beautiful woman no matter the shade of her skin, this type of thinking puzzles me.

Today i’ve spent the day feeling like I was missing something. But cna’t put my finge ror it (otherwis,e it wouldn’t be a feeling). I just hope it wasn’t somethign related to my job, if it even is something I’ve missed. My groceries list looks fine, I’ve got something for lunch tomorrow (I try to lunch something different on sundays because, sunday!) and I think the list of pending household chores it’s the same as usual (yeah, some day I really got to clean those windows… some day). I seriously hope it’s not something related to my job sigh.

Time to go to sleep. It’s been a useful day, I’ve even cleaned some windows. Well, they aren’t completely clean, but at least they aren’t filthy, so next time I can clean them completely. An inconvenience of being shortsighted is that one barely notices stuff like dirty windows unless you actually try to see it…
