I was just thinking about him a week ago. May he rest in peace.

EDIT: Why do we never care about those who live but only to mourn when they die? Wouldn’t it be more useful to care about them when they are alive?

Well, Ish just bought herself the fattest ass in Elite: Dangeous, aka the Lakon Type 9 Heavy freighter. Full with advanced docking computer so it won’t crash until at least it’s paid itself back… as a cool detail the docking/landing autopilot plays the Blue Danube waltz in the best style of 2001.

Also I’ve decided to do something about her holo-me. I won’t call her perfect nor done, but it’s been a good improvement:

There is no way I can figure to remake Ish with E:D, but at least she ain’t ugly. Next: try a lighter complexion and keep tinkering with make up. And maybe work on the nose.

And now i’m off to bed!

Also: Russian art film Simpsons.

Lisa won’t be home tonight.

So I just finished buying all the necessary parts to build my own watch. The movement is a little beat up and will need some attention but… well it’s one of those bucket list things I’ve been wanting to do for a long time.

If this doesn’t work out I’ll consider making something a little more modular, but I like a challenge.

Also I’ve just realised how terrible my eyesight is getting.

A hidden perk of myopia is that it delivers supernatural angular resolution at close distance. It’s like having your own built-in macro… just in my case the focus distance it’s about 5 cm.

Interesting.

I’m at arms length with everything currently. I can spot a mouse blink at 50 yards but newspapers are a no no unless I have room to stretch out.

I’ve been wearing off the shelf reading glasses for several years but I really do need to bite the bullet and visit an optician.

Admitting you’re getting old(er) is hard.

I have myopia since I’m 9 years old.
I used to have bifocal then, even though I didn’t need them at that age, since those are mostly only used for old age.
However, I am now old and I have bifocal.
It is also the first time in my life that my vision improved.

I used to focus on my graph drafting to make them faster and more effectively.

Ah, then it’s farsightedness. No perks to it unless you previously had myopia which would enable Bifocals…

I guess if I had macro goggles I’d be more inclined to wear them

It’s hard, because it’s important to be healthy, however, to misinterpret your capacity and fulfill your needs by thinking you are younger than what you need is very likely going to be worst for you.
Also, being overly worried or concerned about age, whether young or old, is not good for you, or for anyone else .
