It is no doubt better to send prefab to the moon to start, as the costs in energy to gather and create oxygen from the moon to do smelting on site will be quite high, unless we can find some from mining.
I’m trying to verify what will be required to get enough oxygen to get this going, and how many we can build before it’s too much oxygen for the well being of people on the moon need to breathe.

A new device powered by a thermal solar reactor could make enough oxygen and water for six to eight astronauts on the Moon . The device—created by Aerospace Engineer Thorsten Denk— is ideal for the conditions of the Moon . ~ Oct 27, 2017

How to Melt Aluminum With Propane . Scrap aluminum from foil or drinks cans can be melted down using a propane blowtorch. The metal has a melting point of 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit (660 degrees Celsius), but ordinary propane blowtorches produce flames twice that temperature.
Does the moon have breathable oxygen?
On the moon , there’s no air to breathe, no breezes to make the flags planted there by the Apollo astronauts flutter. However, there is a very, very thin layer of gases on the lunar surface that can almost be called an atmosphere. Technically, it’s considered an exosphere. ~ Oct 31, 2017

Is there any oxygen on the moon?
Earth’s upper atmosphere and the moon have relatively little oxygen -16, whereas the solar wind has more. The lunar soil’s oxygen content has three components: One is rich in oxygen -16, and that is from the solar wind. ~ Jan 30, 2017

Is lunar water drinkable?
Liquid water cannot persist at the Moon’s surface, and water vapor is decomposed by sunlight, with hydrogen quickly lost to outer space. However, scientists have conjectured since the 1960s that water ice could survive in cold, permanently shadowed craters at the Moon’s poles.

Why is water on the moon important?
Water is very heavy and to have launch it into space would difficult and expensive. If there is water on the moon - in whatever form - then we have a potential reservoir that could be used for drinking or to make into hydrogen and oxygen which could be used as rocket propellant.Sep 25, 2009

Is there oxygen in the universe?
Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the Universe ; helium is second. However, after this, the rank of abundance does not continue to correspond to the atomic number; oxygen has abundance rank 3, but atomic number 8.
