Endless Space 2. I’ve dropped 46 hours on it in just 8 days, but my second game it’s a disaster and probably will start all over again or try a different approach.
The game is visually pretty and the soundtrack is cool, and i’ve just ditched my toe into it, but the court is still undecided about ES2. So far the outlook isn’t good, unfortunately for my 40 euros… things have been very disappointing in the second game and I might throw the towel if a third game goes south too.
I was also considering Stellaris, but I gave up because I have terrible memories of Europa Universalis and I’m not into really complex games. Also considered Age of Wonders III, which reminds me a lot to Heroes of Might and Magic… which is good because I liked that game a lot and bad because I played it to hell and back so “more of the same” might not cut it. I also discarded Galactic Civilizations III because of all the time I spent with GC II. I don’t have good experiences with trips down the nostalgia lane.

Age of Wonders 3 was for free on steam two months ago I remember, was a promotional thing for a next relese of Age of Wonders: Planetfall.
Sort of civilization, but age-of-wondery. With actual battlefields and turn based combat with units there. Like it was always in Age of Wonders series.
I still play Age of Wonders I, I like how it allows for modifiying the world there. I can convert whole map during gameplay into a dead wasteland, or I can raise wachtowers or build roads, or rebuild ruined cities, or even revitalize dead world with magic. I love such options. Complete freedom. And it was for a dollar and something on GOG last year I remember.

I left the queue while I was 700th because I chores to do. When I logged in 4 hours later, I was 12.000 in queue.

Thats a bit unfortunate that Bliz doesnt put more servers up for people, so they dont have to wait and become bored of waiting.
Speaking of waiting, I hope my wait for cyberpunk 2077 will be worth it.

At launch there were only 2 PVP servers. Now, there are 16. But all of them have 7-9k queues. Also it is also important that the hype will die in a month or two. Blizzard doesn’t want to merge servers when they are empty because of all the people stop playing.
