Also, most pieces of clothing, including every piece of warm clothing you can think of is probably not going to cut it if you didn’t have the time to actually experience it.

Best are stronk spirits. It would be a good idea to bring also lighter, stronger spirits burn. Few lose metal sheets and a bottle of strong alcohol makes a good heater.

Duh, storm Gloria has caused quite a mess here in my neck of the woods, the damages bill just keeps growing and tonight there will be more heavy rains with reservoirs almost full and rivers about to flood important cities. It is unclear whether today’s break in the rains has allowed enough water to drain so tonight’s rains don’t cause further harm…
The voices talking about climate change are quiet, but this is the most destructive storm since 1970 and we already suffered a severe, if local, episode of heavy rains last autumn.

It will melt before Earth passes away. Global warming will happen in billions of years, when the sun expands. I don"t think it’s good to test the big bang on earth with temperature 100s and 1,000s of time more hot and warmer than on the sun. It would be better done further away, so that it doesn’t affect us so much, and we also have to care more about controlling global warming, or avoiding it, if it is too warm, and find ways to repair it, if it is better for us.
