Aaand, that was it. Can’t convince Ish to log into EVE again, after just 6 days. It’s been interesting but ultimately EVE is the same game I stopped playing two years ago, so there’s no point wth doing the same things all over again. I am bit shocked at how terrible and uninteresting are SKINs (they’re seriously trying to sell those?), at least for the ships I’ve tried. Also have reminded how horribly time consuming and boring is to travel (but then the 60 seconds safety after jump are good to go have a pee without stop playing), haven’t been physically able to run more than one Level 4 a day (but had a nice surprise with a storyline mssion I never had done before) and esssentially checked that I could be back to playing anytime but there’s no need to. Bought a VNI, fitted it properly, tried it, wa sa pile of sh*t and had to bring the Nightmare to finish a mere “Intercept the saboteurs”, sold the VNI and its fit after moving it to Jita… guess I could run the Pwetty Fleet again too and mine some ice if I omega’ed my girls. But, what would be the point?
Grinding for those terrible SKINs is out of question. I sorely missed the CQ, dammit! Saw Laudenum Hayes log in and browsed the employment history of Random and other old acquitances and friends to know how they’re doing. Apparently my old mentor H. returned to the game while I was out but now it’s back to a NPC corp. And the stations are different (those Xmas tree lights are just silly, IMO, sinc ships don’t use them to navigate), the new interiors are cool, the docking/undocking feels slower than used to be, Aura has got a habit of saying “Warp drive. Active.” instead of “Warp drive active” and well… the game is doing fine without me and now I need to find another game. Some weeks ago I watched a gameplay of a mission of Battletech and it was interesting (specially the turn-based part, but dunno if can save a battle midway and keep playing it later), but I’m not very convinced at paying full price for a video game without testing it. Would hate paying full price to learn that RNG hates me and my mechs always get wrecked and never hit a hillside… (that is, that my perception was of losing too much and not winning enough, which is totally subjective).
