Also: the last seconds of asteroid ZLAF9B2 as it crashed at southern Botswana few hours after being detected and its trajectory detemined. Fortunately it was a small one (3 to 5 meters) so didn’t cause any relevant damage.
(Remember, these things don’t “fall” on Earth… Earth splashes them like bugs on a windshield)

have you tried PVP? most intense thing there is in EVE and probably the only fun thing as well. then again, I never tried incursion fleets…
I might do that after my alliance leaves minmil and I can once again fly in all regions of hisec.

Of course, speed of the body and its composition makes it explode on contact with planet or moon. In small scale its like you could get a snowball and throw it on something, it will explode in all directions on contact. Its also reason why craters are round, explosions.
