Hey, I’ve read the first edition of that book! Many years ago, frankly, but still remember some things, like, women don’t like having people behind them so women products must be placed in wide, quiet aisles and preferably at hand/eye level so they don’t have to bend over or squat to reach them. Also, the velocity of queues is not as much related to how many stuff the buyers bring, but to how many payment operations (i.e., how many buyers) are in front of you. Checking out is done by fast and experienced cashiers, but paying depends on the buyer and if you’ve ever been behind an elderly person looking for the exact coins you know what that means… also, no matter what queue you pick, your chances to pick the fastest queue are 1/n with n being how many queues there are. So, pick the one with less people in it and take it easy!
Only if I had a connection like this…I would download every po-… I mean cat videos.Yes,cat videos.
I can get that speed where I live. It being affordable is another story so I settled for 120Mbps instead.
Jokes on you, my cat looks exactly the same.
They started installing the automatic cashing machines here, where there is no cashier and you have to do everything yourself, and then the machine dont want to take one particular coin because its calibrated wrong.
Timezone everyone
Addition of those eyes and smile on muffins was not necessary, really.
Awesome! Much love!
Just Intel things
I wonder what future will bring. Maybe sending a human to moon will cost less than creating indie game
Pickled herring with sourcream is actually very good, also pickled herring on a loaf of bread with butter good too.
Mine gets all of 104 Mb/s. I barely ever use that speed, though, as I rather stream those cat videos…
We have them on large places like Carrefour or Auchan or those. But they don’t take cash, only credit cards.
(Many years ago, Spain orderered a batch of coins to be minted in Canada… those “Canadian minted” coins became famous because their alloy was lighter than it should so they all had the wrong weight and vending machines spitted them mercilessly… rumor was that Spanish authorities specified what percentage of each metal should be in the coins, but where too generous with the acceptable weight of the coins)
Yeah, but let’s be clear here: the Indian mission consists of one single instrument and a payload of 15 kg. It’s a very important and useful instrument, but that Mars probe compared to a ESA or NASA mission is like this:
Compared to this:
They both are single propeller single pilot aircraft, but are not in the same league, neither for price nor performance.

It’s a long read, but it’s so ■■■■■■■ worth it. For a few times I was laughing so hard that I couldn’t breath anymore.
