…maybe they can drink beer while watching anime…? All in all some anime looks as if funny things were in the author’s bloodstream during its inception…

(And now I’m off to bed. Nighties loveleis!)

Also: so far it’s just a funny but sad anecdote…

The pilots failed to descend and didn’t communicate nor did anything until the airplane overshoot the airstrip still at 37,000 feet and the autopilot disengage alarm woke them up.

Other than the delay to landing, there was no threat to the passengers, but something must go horribly wrong to have two pilots on an airplane so tired that they fall asleep while in command and neither of them warns the other about their need to take a nap.

The camels in China are the two hump Bactrian camels from the Gobi Desert area, and not the one hump dromedary camels from the Arabian area. Maybe there are a few one humpers imported from Arabia, but if you look closely, most will be two humpers, and are from not so far away.

Fascinating, but couldn’t have the second hump and the extended length of fur develop from breeding through ages, like humans did about wolves for the last 10.000 years to achieve various sizes and shapes of dog breeds? Anyway, it doesn’t matter. It is just so cool that there are somehow camels in central asia.

Timezone lovelies.

I may be wrong, take this with a grain of salt!
I heard the Asian camel in fact arrived there from South America when the landmasses were still connected and that’s why they are different than the Arabian camels.

There was in fact something happening like that with camelidae and equidae. They have originally evolved in north america, earliest remains are found there.

Oh, I am sure you are correct LordOdysseus, at least from an evolutionary stand point. It is accepted that the Dromedary and Bactrian camels did have a common ancestor camel in the far past. But the split is caused from natural evolution, and not selective breeding done by humans.

It is likely that the two camel populations were separated at one point by the rugged geography between them, and the Bactrian camels had to adapt to the colder climates of the Gobi desert where as the Dromedary camels are adapted to the hotter Arabian desert climates.

Well, it’s a recurring 10%… so there’s a 10% of even weirder among the 10% of weirdos, and that 10% has its own 10%, all the way to a weirdness of 1. And then there’s that image which just flew over my head and I can’t have a reaction to it. Like, whatever.

And now i’m off to sleep. Nighties lovelies!
