There was a time when a Learjet was top of the luxury, back in the 1960s when only rich(ish) people could fly jet airliners, the private jet was reserved to what today would be billionaires (whereas nowadays billionaires just transform airliners into private aircraft…).

Today we do with computers things that weren’t conceivable back in 1946. Actually, not even the precursors to the precursors of the precursors of the ideas we use now daily were conceivable… nothing in computing history was really planned A to B, it just happened and after piling feature upon feature here we are.

It actually took longer and more power to do than today.
However, the plans designed, paid for, patented for, and used then, for today, are still in use today.
A lot of the intellectual property is transferred according to specific contracts, and yes, encryption.
You can’t keep those code secured if anyone can change them as they want and steal them and copy them and so on.
In fact, it’s those transfer of intellectual property which lets us save data and read it later.
People really don’t have to understand what they get, as long as they can verify later.
If they want to misrepresent the information as negative and discredit the author of the rights to impart others with info from those, that is his own business.

I could not abuse my wife and future potential son with such abuse of intellectual property from the US Army Medical Department, and no, immunity will not suffice.
