Also: understanding NFTs in a minute…

jacobgalapagos:

i dont know what an NFT is and im too afraid to ask

imagine if you went up to the mona lisa and you were like “i’d like to own this” and someone nearby went “give me 65 million dollars and i’ll burn down an unspecified amount of the amazon rainforest in order to give you this receipt of purchase” so you paid them and they went “here’s your receipt, thank you for your purchase” and went to an unmarked supply closet in the back of the museum and posted a handmade label inside it behind the brooms that said “mona lisa currently owned by jacobgalapagos” so if anyone wants to know who owns it they’d have to find this specific closet in this specific hallway and look behind the correct brooms. and you went “can i take the mona lisa home now?” and they went “oh god no are you stupid? you only bought the receipt that says you own it, you didn’t actually buy the mona lisa itself, you can’t take the real mona lisa you idiot. you CAN take this though.” and gave you the replica print in a cardboard tube that’s sold in the gift shop. also the person selling you the receipt of purchase has at no point in time ever owned the mona lisa.

unfortunately, if this doesn’t really make sense or seem like any logical person would be happy about this exchange, then you’ve understood it perfectly

Today I updated Diablo 3 and created a new char for the current Season 23. I’m trying out the Wizard class. It does tons of Area of Effect damage and kills all mobs/bosses with ease provided that the difficulty is not increased too much. 36 levels in 1 evening. Max level is 70. It is so much fun!

We have 20 days of lockdown in Turkey. No leaving the house until 17th of May unless it is an emergency. The police are patrolling the streets in their cars and impose hefty fines on whoever they see outside(the people who don’t work at the grocery stores).

I bought a kilo of tamar(date) fruits and I’ll have to ration them very, very, VERY sparingly and carefully.

Good night, lovelies.

This is all I have to report for now and…
Now back to you, LAGL:

Picks of the Week

  • COVID vaccine availability alert
  • Rene’s pick: Apple Developer App
  • Leo’s pick: NetNewsWire 6.0 for Mac"

From 120 minutes (2 hours) and 02 seconds.

office hours renee richie
121:06 your pick of the week so mine is you
121:09 know
121:10 it was just updated today it’s not a
121:11 brand new app but it’s an important app
121:13 especially today
121:14 and that’s apple’s developer app it’s
121:16 available on the iphone the ipad the mac
121:19 it’s everywhere it’s it’s what is going
121:21 to give us all the lowdown and all the
121:22 wwe sessions
121:24 first the fake ones they sort of
121:25 announce with all the weird names like a
121:26 half emoji
121:28 half joke but over time it’ll give us
121:30 all the sessions it’ll give us all the
121:31 videos
121:32 and it’s been uh updated with a new
121:34 discover feature now
121:36 and of course people who are a little
121:38 bit of interior baseball aficionados
121:40 know that
121:41 former guest on this show former awesome
121:44 uh imorian
121:45 serenity caldwell is is now doing a lot
121:47 of the work
121:48 on that the last place i can read her
121:51 and it makes me happy every day
121:52 to be able to do that and they put a lot
121:55 of
121:56 a lot of effort into making this better
121:58 and it’s a dog food
121:59 it runs in um in catalysts on the mac so
122:02 it’s
122:03 one of those apps that they use you know
122:05 to test their own technology
122:07 and you can go in there and look at
122:08 older videos of the sessions you know
122:10 you can look at the ones alex was
122:11 talking about where
122:12 they start to commingle ar kit and local
122:16 map data
122:17 so you can drop a kaiju on your street
122:18 if you want to uh you know
122:21 not an effective one yet but we’re
122:22 getting there and just everything i’m
122:24 rewatching a lot of the stuff going into
122:26 wwdc
122:28 2021 and then i’m going to really enjoy
122:31 watching all the new stuff that’s coming
122:32 out so i gotta remind myself i should
122:35 put this on the front page of my iphone
122:37 instead of wasting three hours looking
122:39 at tick tock
122:41 i could go to the developer app and
122:43 learn
122:44 something right it’s got a it’s got a
122:47 discover
122:47 tab so just like the tick tock app you
122:50 can browse through
122:51 different you know convert pi torch
122:54 models to core ml
122:55 i’ve been needing to do that find and
122:57 fix hitches in the commit
122:59 phase team this is this is for you know
123:01 if
123:02 this is for real developers tailor your
123:04 metal apps for apple m1
123:06 there’s the best of last year’s wwc
123:08 there’s that widget code along which
123:10 i’ve mentioned before
123:11 and there’s the uh if i wonder if i
123:14 refresh this if i’ll get a different
123:15 uh no i only get the same one
123:20 uh you can browse you could very nice
123:22 and it’s it’s free although
123:24 you have to be a 99 year developer right
123:26 to to use it
123:28 or can you use it you get a lot of stuff
123:30 anyway it’s just the developer like
123:31 there’s there’s not much that’s locked
123:33 out oh that’s nice
123:34 that’s even better because i think there
123:36 are a lot of kids who
123:37 would love to learn how to write apps
123:40 for the iphone maybe don’t have the 99
123:42 buck wherewithal

123:44 there’s a guy who writes apps
123:47 for macintosh named brent simmons who
123:50 really is a legend
123:51 yay he’s a legend and
123:55 he created many moons ago the best rss
123:57 reader for the
123:58 macintosh sold it bought it back
124:01 it’s now back and being updated
124:05 it’s got a team of volunteers working on
124:07 it it’s called net newswire version 6
124:10 just came out
124:13 and and it’s great and you know what
124:15 it’s funny google killed google reader
124:17 but rss never died still most sites
124:21 offer an rss feed certainly all podcasts
124:25 still use rss unless they’re spotify
124:28 exclusives i guess
124:30 but i i’m just glad brent’s still
124:33 writing and still creating great stuff
124:34 and that newswire has always been one of
124:36 the mac
124:36 classics ios as well there is coming so
124:40 that’s good
124:41 it’s just such a great tool uh
124:44 you’re right that rss isn’t as uh
124:46 ubiquitous as it might have been
124:47 like when that newswire was first
124:49 released but the ability to simply
124:51 bookmark everything into this one app
124:53 and at least
124:54 have to click on this one window that
124:56 will have it at the very minimum the
124:57 headlines
124:58 of all these sites that you’re trying to
124:59 follow without having to open multiple
125:02 multiple tabs with multiple urls and
125:04 it’s just such a beautifully made app
125:06 it’s
125:07 it’s it’s a work of art and yeah it’s
125:08 all the legacy the the legacy
125:11 is so present in every click you make
125:13 yeah so i’m just glad he’s still making
125:15 making great code it’s free that’s the
125:18 other good thing
125:19 it’s free well we’ve had a fun time but

103:45 columbo you are a king is it all in

Chicago attorney Julie Herrera will cover the basics of litigating a lawsuit against the police, including where and when to file, which legal claims to consider and pursue, discovery basics, responding to motions for summary judgment, and preparing for trial. A Q & A will follow the presentation.

California Penal Code 118.1 PC makes it illegal for a peace officer to make a knowingly false statement in an arrest report. Normally, a false assertion is only a criminal act if it is made under a declaration of perjury. This section makes it a crime even if the officer did not certify it as true or sign the report under penalty of perjury.

A violation of this code section is a wobbler offense. This means a prosecutor can charge the crime as either a misdemeanor or a felony.

The language of PC 118.1 states that “every peace officer who files any report with the agency which employs him or her regarding the commission of any crime or any investigation of any crime, if he or she knowingly and intentionally makes any statement regarding any material matter in the report which the officer knows to be false, whether or not the statement is certified or otherwise expressly reported as true, is guilty of filing a false report punishable by imprisonment in the county jail for up to one year, or in the state prison for one, two, or three years.”

Examples

  • an officer stating that a suspect had cocaine in his pocket (when he really had no drugs).
  • a law enforcement officer reporting that the accused resisted arrest (when he really did not).
  • a police officer stating that he saw the suspect with a gun in his hand (when he really found it in some nearby bushes).

Defenses

An officer can fight a false reporting charge with a legal defense. A few common defenses are:

  • mistake,
  • falsity relates to an immaterial matter, and/or
  • false information by a third party.

Penalties

As a misdemeanor, the crime is punishable by:

As a felony, the offense is punishable by:

Our California criminal defense attorneys will discuss the following in this article:

Police jotting down notes. A false statement on the crime report can lead to 118.1 PC charges.

It is a crime for a police officer to file a false report on a criminal matter.

Making a false report, relates to alerting authorities of a misdemeanor or felony crime, knowing that the details of the incident are incorrect or the incident itself did not occur. For the crime of making a false report, the account can be given to a police officer, prosecutor, grand jury, or a 911 operator.

…every country is fighting this war as their own battle, based on hwo the situation goes and hoping it won’t take a turn to the worse. Here in spain some places are bad (more than 500 cases per 100,000), others are so-so (like my community, about 250) and the only good news is that ICU are slowly but continuously emptying (they’re still burdened with extra patients from Covid cases, but there’s no threat of collapse). I’m still undecided on whether wait to be called for vaccine or appoint myself once my age band is enabled. My parents don’t want to be vaccinated, my father got a telephone call to appoint him for an injection with Janssen vaccine (thus single dose) and he said no, he wants to talk with the doctor first (but hasn’t asked an appointment). And my mother is sick and tired of everything Covid and refuses to be vaccinated, and since she’s somewhat difficult to handle I don’t want to press her…

Anyway, enough real life for today. Nighties lovelies!

Also: fourth flight completed!

On the fifth flight, Ingenuity will land at a new “base”, and sicne ti’s been approved for a misison extension of 30 days, will start doing a little exploration to assist Perseverance rover. Ingenuity’s cappabilites are very limited (just has two cameras, one navigation cam aimed straight below and a side camera) since it’s a proof of concept, but what little it can do, will be done for at least 30 days (and maybe longer if it survives). Curiously, one of the limitations in performance they’ve encountered is heat dissipation, the atmosphere on Mars is so thin that Ingenuity’s motors can operate only for a limited time before heating too much.

57:39 yeah uh now microsoft is buying discord
57:41 and we’re going to have no safe harbor
57:43 yeah
57:43 i don’t buy that story we’ve seen the
57:46 anytime anything’s for sale
57:47 it’s microsoft’s going to buy it then
57:49 we’re going to buy pinterest too
57:50 remember that
57:51 i’m not sure it’s it’s an electron app
57:54 so it fits their portfolio that’s true
57:56 that’s true somebody will buy it or
57:58 they’ll do an ipo they want to cash in
58:00 is what the the message is we want to
58:02 talk i prefer more choice in my networks
58:04 i don’t need everything to be owned by
58:05 everybody by the same three companies no
58:07 i completely agree with you
58:08 but you know what there’s other choices
58:10 out there there’s open source discords
58:12 out there that are very good like matrix
58:13 and element
58:14 yeah but that’s the that’s the
58:17 that’s the problem with uh with things
58:19 that are based on social networks it’s
58:21 like
58:22 how many it’s there are other there are
58:23 alternatives to discord but
58:25 if everybody is on discord they’re
58:27 saying oh great here’s we can we can
58:28 invite you to our to our discord we can
58:30 invite you excuse me i’m sorry
58:31 uh we we can invite you to our slacks
58:33 like okay but hey what if we all like go
58:35 off of slack and on to this
58:37 open source alternative that isn’t like
58:39 controlled by a certain company
58:41 well there are 800 of us um we’ll talk
58:43 to some of them no that’s not going to
58:45 happen
58:45 so it’s the reason why i’m on facebook
58:47 because i can’t get my family
58:48 to go i will create a server that’s just
58:50 for us that we can try you can do a
58:52 million things you can’t do
58:54 easy and it’s like and my response will
58:56 be okay
58:57 um if you could like uh my community
59:00 groups page on facebook
59:01 they just don’t care they’re not
59:03 interested they don’t care that’s
59:04 exactly right
59:05 all you have to do is look at the
59:06 numbers three and a half billion users
59:09 no one cares
59:12 just the just the tech pundits that’s
59:14 the only people who care so
59:16 german in that mini sensor story
59:18 mentioned
59:19 you know oh and you know in one line i
59:21 love how german you know like
59:23 sometimes he buries the lead like in one
59:24 line says yeah they’re working on uh
59:26 they’re working on cameras and uh screen
59:29 technology
59:30 well i mean it makes sense to have to
59:32 have to be able to set something down
59:34 and and talk to folks i i think that it
59:36 and
59:37 the screens can provide a lot i mean i
59:39 we have a

### Here’s what Microsoft buying Discord would mean for gamers

41:14 uh not been a great week for apple in
41:16 terms of
41:17 court orders but i have to say these
41:20 it feels like patent trolls to me and i
41:22 think apple kind of even
41:24 insinuated this uh another another uh
41:28 article in marshall texas another uh by
41:30 the trial in marshall texas
41:32 uh the jury says apple has to pay 308.5
41:35 million dollars
41:37 to personalized media communications
41:41 saying that apple infringed their patent
41:44 on digital rights
41:45 management apple uh insinuated
41:49 by saying quote cases like this brought
41:52 by companies that don’t make
41:54 or sell any products stifle innovation
41:57 and ultimately harm consumers it was
42:00 disappointed by the jury verdict and
42:03 will
42:04 appeal it’s been going on for five
42:08 five years now i think at some point we
42:12 it would be great if the supreme court
42:13 just decided we’re just going to
42:14 overturn every everything that comes out
42:15 of that
42:16 county like like just we’re going to let
42:18 you know
42:19 like they should just say hey you just
42:20 so you know we’re anything that comes
42:22 out of the county we’re not going to
42:23 we’re not going to support
42:24 and that would end this like it would
42:25 literally end it overnight if if
42:27 if they if roberts got up there and just
42:29 said this has gone this has gone far
42:30 enough
42:31 and you can’t just keep filing into one
42:33 county um and uh we’re just gonna
42:35 just we’re letting you know once it gets
42:36 here we’re gonna throw it out
42:38 they also sued google and youtube
42:41 actually lost
42:42 they sued netflix that that case is
42:45 pending but it’s in new york
42:47 that’s a by the way that was going to be
42:49 our strategy if we got sued
42:50 when there was a patent troll over
42:52 podcasting is a change of venue out of
42:54 west texas
42:55 because texas because that’s the worst
42:57 place you could be
42:58 the lawsuit oddly apple challenged the
43:01 validity of the patent
43:03 uh back in 2015 at the patent trial and
43:05 appeal board and
43:06 won the patent was invalidated and then
43:10 last year
43:10 u.s appeals court overturned that
43:12 decision
43:14 which some have expired they’ve been
43:15 forced to pay like on patents that were
43:17 exhausted and expired it’s it’s really
43:19 interesting law
43:20 if you can call it that eastern district
43:23 of texas thank you very much
43:25 um you know i don’t even have to i
43:27 didn’t look at the patents i don’t have
43:28 to look at the
43:30 site literally i just see eastern
43:31 district of texas and i just immediately
43:33 know it’s ps you just know you know like
43:34 like this is just
43:35 you know yeah apple fine in brazil not a
43:39 lot two million
43:40 big deal uh for not putting a ch
43:43 charger in the box with the iphone
43:47 um oops uh this actually wasn’t
43:50 by the country of brazil it was by the
43:52 state san paulo
43:54 so also charged uh for
43:57 allegedly misleading customers
43:59 maintaining unfair contracts and not
44:01 repairing products under
44:02 warranty but not this not the hugest
44:05 fine ever
44:07 um i i don’t know what apple’s gonna can
44:10 appeal if they want to but there’s no
44:12 word about
44:13 uh whether that they will and by the way

44:16 that’s not a court order that’s an order
44:18 from the
44:19 uh brazilian uh consumer protection
44:21 agency so they they could actually ask
44:23 to go to court on that so
44:26 yeah it just goes to show how difficult
44:27 it is to make even these simple changes
44:29 because every country and every even
44:32 municipalities within those countries
44:33 have different laws where

44:34 we’re already seeing every all the all
44:36 the chaos that
44:38 california is causing uh not not
44:40 negative chaos should i say but
44:42 the the fact that the lack of a federal
44:44 federal laws about
44:45 digital content federal laws against
44:47 about privacy
44:49 about net neutrality has forced
44:51 individual
44:52 territories to simply say okay if the if
44:54 our government is not going to do it
44:56 then our local government is going to do
44:57 it
44:57 and now you make a simple change like we
45:00 decided to we we decided to
45:03 make our boxes gray instead of white and
45:05 suddenly there is a place of saying well
45:07 because you’re using us a dot you’re
45:09 using a die instead of a bleach your
45:11 your consumer packaging no longer
45:13 qualifies for our recycling
45:14 uh recycling initiative and now you’ve
45:16 got this other this other
45:18 problem on your hands yeah i think i
45:19 think there’s potentially
45:21 in case we made that that i mean it was
45:24 fine when we started doing this in
45:25 california but i think that as states
45:27 get more and more
45:28 picky there’s going to be some uh you
45:30 know interstate trade issues with the
45:32 constitution
45:33 you know that are going to show up
45:34 that’s going to become the argument and
45:36 that’s going to become something that
45:37 probably
45:37 could invalidate a lot of these rules
45:39 yeah but but it is going to give
45:42 consumers a lot of leverage a lot of
45:43 leverage a lot of bargaining power
45:44 against big companies like
45:46 apple and google because there’s there
45:48 are very few things that they’re scared
45:49 of one of them is having to comply with
45:51 50 different
45:52 only slightly overlapping pro but but if
45:55 there’s if they are forced to if when it
45:57 comes to time to create a federal law
45:59 if they are now saying well look we
46:01 can’t Wisconsin wants this
46:04 New Hampshire wants this we can’t simply
46:06 wave our hand and say no you’re not
46:08 getting that
46:08 because we don’t want them to say okay
46:10 great well then we’ll create our own law
46:12 or we’re going to we’re going to
46:13 use our own lobbying to make sure that
46:14 we get kind of what we want
46:16 it means that they do have to they can
46:18 they can no longer have a
46:19 hey we are complying and if you don’t
46:21 think we are well find us we’ll just
46:22 write you a check and we’ll move on

46:25 the jury the witness list is in for the
46:28 Apple versus
46:29 Epic mega battle in the arena
46:34 team Apple versus team Epic team Apple
46:36 versus team Epic
46:38 apple i guess apple be calling Tim Cook
46:41 it’s weird i guess you can stipulate how
46:43 long they’ll be there tim cook will be
46:44 examined
46:45 for one hour with a one-hour
46:47 cross-examination craig federighi will
46:50 testify for two hours with a one-hour
46:51 cross-examination
46:53 Tim Cook can say good morning for an
46:55 hour and be done yeah we’ll just
46:57 Phil Schiller porsche Phil’s taking the
46:59 brunt he’ll be testifying for 10 hours
47:01 he runs app store
47:03 yeah all of them will be doing it in
47:04 person uh also the app store vice
47:07 president Matt
47:07 Fisher head of fraud engineering
47:09 algorithms and risk that’s of a good
47:11 title
47:11 i’m the head of fraud engineering
47:13 algorithms and risk
47:15 Eric Driedman a bunch of other people
47:17 Epic’s witnesses of course include tim
47:19 Epic
47:20 and other Epic employees they’ll also
47:23 bring in third-party
47:24 executive witnesses executives from
47:26 facebook Microsoft Nvidia
47:28 Eddie q is on the Epic list
47:32 former ios software chief Scott Forstall
47:35 i guess they got his phone number they
47:36 found his phone number
47:37 i thought they said that they were there
47:41 they slid into his dm’s no they they did

47:44 Epic well he he’s on the witness list
47:47 he’s on the witness but i think they
47:48 they haven’t in that article i think
47:50 they said that they hadn’t found them
47:51 yeah they’re still we
47:52 yeah this is this was back in February, I
47:54 don’t know if they’ve it’s really
47:56 telling that so much of their stuff is
47:57 is hinged on letters between steve jobs
47:59 and his executives which is like
48:01 over a decade now it’s yeah so
48:03 fascinating to me
48:04 well the other thing guys is like why do
48:06 you write those letters like as a lawyer
48:08 as a lawyer you’re like why would you do
48:09 that
48:11 i know it’s just but that’s that’s also
48:14 telling that you want you want to pull
48:16 correspondence from a a name that’s
48:20 going to have a big effect
48:21 on on a grand jury but also from a time
48:24 when this is before all of this malarkey
48:26 was happening
48:26 and if you have if you have someone who
48:28 knew who was known to be very very

48:29 loose-lipped during what he thought was
48:30 going to be
48:31 always private correspondence oh boy
48:34 that’s that’s where that’s where they
48:36 say things like we want to kill them
48:38 because i just hate them and i know it’s
48:40 unfair but i think they should die
48:42 that means we’re going to kill them like
48:43 okay great
48:45 that’ll put a couple of zeros on the
48:46 settlement check wonderful

48:49 this was an interesting uh reveal from
48:52 mark german
48:53 the homepod mini has
48:56 an unused humidity and temperature
48:59 sensor
49:00 in it got a secret it’s got a secret
49:03 secret secret it’s uh the way it’s
49:05 placed it’s not it’s not in
49:06 for internal temperature or humidity
49:09 it’s it’s positioned
49:11 by the power cord so that it can sense
49:13 the room’s
49:15 temperature and humidity
49:19 why what would you why would you put
49:21 that in
49:23 why would you possibly want to supply
49:24 home kit the temperature of a room and
49:27 let you
49:28 control your ac

54:13 understand
54:14 that once you understand how deep yeah
54:16 the thing was i was like and honestly
54:20 i also think the harms aren’t it’s like
54:22 okay advertisers know everything there
54:24 is to know about me
54:25 who cares why should i what do i care
54:29 about
54:29 i understand the principle but it’s a
54:31 principle and they sell it to
54:33 cambridge analytica so it’s not exactly
54:35 who cares if i’m not on facebook i’m not
54:37 seeing the ads
54:38 you know i think it’s it’s less about
54:39 people it’s it’s it’s
54:41 it’s less about folks like us and it’s
54:43 more folks that are probably a little
54:44 bit more
54:45 impressionable yeah but then there’s
54:47 also us because they run psyops on us
54:49 like
54:49 they’ll tell us who to vote for and what
54:50 tv thing they tried doing nobody’s
54:52 telling me who to vote for i don’t care
54:54 about that no but it’s it’s hard to see
54:55 that because they do things where they
54:56 adjust your fee to make you sad and they
54:58 can reproduce the results
54:59 you can control people by understanding
55:01 that is incredibly
55:02 capitalism terrifying yeah and my but my
55:06 my one of my issues is simply the fact
55:08 that what if i’m
55:09 i try to get a home loan or what if i’m
55:12 applying for an apartment or if i’m
55:13 applying for
55:14 for a job and these uh the company that
55:17 that is processing these applications is
55:19 using relying on one of these absolutely
55:21 junk
55:22 science mystical hoodoo doodoo services
55:25 that says
55:25 you know because of our we have we have
55:28 with using the power of machine learning
55:30 and artificial intelligence
55:31 we have access to social media and other
55:33 metrics that will tell you
55:34 precisely whether this person is trusted
55:36 is trustworthy or the scum of the earth
55:38 and it’s based on well what what
55:41 they’re buying data that they’re from
55:43 from marketers they’re applying
55:45 algorithms that have not been proven
55:46 that are
55:47 absolutely not not public knowledge
55:49 can’t be tested
55:50 and they’re making life changing
55:52 decisions that people will never
55:53 they will never know how come i how come
55:55 i will i have never gotten
55:57 a call back on a certain job beca on
56:00 on jobs that’s because they’re all 20
56:02 percent of the industry is using this
56:04 one service and this one service
56:05 believes that because you have you both
56:08 uh
56:09 you visit a lot of dirt bike dirt bike
56:11 sites and you also
56:13 live in this one you also visited this
56:15 uh this one public park several times
56:17 that you are a deadbeat it’s like no
56:19 thank you so i don’t have a facebook
56:21 instagram
56:22 any of that stuff obviously on my phone
56:24 for sure but just in general
56:26 um the company does because they’ve
56:29 decided
56:30 it’s not my choice they’ve decided to
56:31 mark it but i don’t

There's also another $350 million case versus Samsung over some interface or other intellectual property rights for business,
at around 1 hour and 10 to 20 minutes.

Which I will not post since it is wrongfully deemed as spam.
But I already have a case against them with the army and against the police for that, because they also prove to try to justify the same deliberate mistakes,
which is also acted upon through this electronic data information system, as well as to keep their activities and frivolous complaints.

So, I guess since this $350 million is deemed as spam from enemies of CCP and EVE Online, that it is why that CCP lost the $225 million optional contract on the sale of their product.

That is more damaging than patent trolls damage would do.
It is blatant unfair competition as well.

Time for me to go to bed… tomorrow we’ll start opening the agency in the evening too, as we used to do before the pandemic. I hope it will be of some use because mornings are already boring, adding extra boredom (and consumption of utilities) for nothing would suck.

And now i’m off to bed… nighties lovelies!

Also: I subscribe…

Would be nice if wearing a mask when ill became the new normal, all in all it’s something some Asian countries already did before and it’s quite a civil thing to do, even for just a cold.

If you were in the US Army and lost a rifle what would happen to you?
Profile photo for Matthew T. Waterhouse Matthew T. Waterhouse , former Medic at U.S. Army (1993-2001)
Updated May 27, 2019 · Upvoted by Steve Yonah, former 11-B,11-H.11-C2, Fire Arms Instructor at U.S. Army and Brandon Su, 88L Watercraft Engineer at U.S. Army.

The U.S. Army does not lose firearms.

In the event a rifle is truly misplaced, every soldier within 10 miles of that area will begin looking.

Nobody goes home. Nobody gets any rest. Nobody sleeps until that rifle is found.
