Hmmm… some of the sequences have reminded me of a small village here in Catalonia where my parents spent some weeks each summer for several year. The buildings are different, of course, but the bits by the river and the bridges look similar.
But probably the village here wouldn’t be so tidy.

Or, how to create small sparks from a 10,000 volts discharge just with water falling through a conductor.
The charge is very small and it’s static electricity, so this won’t power anything electric… but it’s a fascinating simple experiment. Notice how the water repels itself and spreads away from the stream right after passing the conductors. With a lot of conductor (like a toroidal loop of copper wire) water will follow the electric fields even upwards!

Also: NASA wants to buy or rent a car… a moon car!
Right now they’re just gathering ideas from industry, then once NASA knows what should be doable will set requirements to develop the actual prototype(s). Although the idea of going back to the Moon by 2024 is unattainable, Artemis is a serious plan to do it sometime as funds and technology allow. One thing is for sure, if NASA goes back tot he Moon, the crew will include the first woman on the Moon… unless China takes the place.

Kind of going to bed earlier (in intent at least). Yesterday I had some pain in the joints but today I’m better, won’t complain about how mild have been to me the secondary effects of vaccine. Nighties lovelies!

After a failed first attempt (apparently the sample disintegrated within the drill) NASA team picked another rock and succeeded. As usual, stuff on the surface of Mars behaves in unexpected ways…

Also: huh… a robot unicorn for kids…?
Lots of 3D animation in a simulated world but as far as actual imagery we get to see the robot nodding when a ball is close to it… and that’s all. Also those legs don’t really look capable to stand the weight of a small child… maybe a toddler?
PS: if wasn’t for the tiny horn, it would be a robot llama…
