- The Act:
Sober Sueâs act involved her sitting on stage while various comedians and others tried to make her laugh, with the promise of a substantial prize for anyone who succeeded.
- The Profit:
Theater manager Willie Hammerstein profited from the popularity of Sober Sueâs act, as the crowds drawn by the challenge generated significant revenue, while Sue herself was paid a small weekly wage.
Why doesnât that surprise me
Thank you for the details. Youâre awesome!
âŚand that is one of the explanations to my performance at my workplace, where the number of times Iâve been acknowledged for doing a good work tantamounts to once in 17 yearsâŚ

Sheâs not the prettiest, but arenât your eyes drawn to her? Thatâs what red does. Also sheâs doing The Pose, so probably had some experience modeling (same as the girl with the white shoes on the right).
Paying more than living wages help as well. I know many people who live paycheck to paycheck. The companies replace them instead of investing in their skills and abilities.
I agree.
Better have skills that a robot cannot have or youâre SOL.
Your heart betrays you. Youâre not as mean as you appear otherwise you would not post such a soft approach to monsters.
My study of history (what some call religion) makes me a more prepared person in rl as well as better player in eve.
You can all mock me all you want but you will never break that competitive spirit in me of what eve used to be and how hard it was to get ahead bank then. No CCâing back into the game. Lose an acct if you got caught rmtâing into the game would cost yrs of reinvestment in time, not money.
Having my heart ripped from me early in life by reality, I prefer a more pragmatic look at it and the game.
Want to see a monster? Give me a reason to sub again.

The one on the far left still smiling. Even after having come to this place of last resort. Where he may not have seen his parents, but briefly once a week if that. Yet he could still smile for this picture.
Was that you @Aallin_Gicquet ?
Do you see any cave art? No? Then there is your answer.
However one of those children could be an ancestor of yours.
