Not really, ads are coming to AI and thatâs the end of the game for any AI who doesnât haves a big company with deep pockets behind, or has stumbled accidentally into a niche of paying and loyal customers.
And not even then, in a world where paying a subscription to a streaming service doesnât means youâre free from ads as soon as some VP gets a bonus from pushing that way to make the line go up as if people still were confined by COVID and couldnât just cancel and walk awayâŚ
Itâs called necrocapitalism, or feeding on your own left foot to prove that thereâs still food in the plate and by eating it youâll bring in more food to increase value to shareholders. Yeah.

I can run Deepseek locally, and while itâs not quite as overall fast and useful as the commercial models I mostly use, itâs plenty capable of troubleshooting programming projects or spitting out boilerplate. AI is here to stay, and if the corpo filth insist on ruining it with ads, Iâll run slightly inferior local versions instead.
