The Vokes family was a set of three sisters, a brother and an actor very popular in the pantomime theatres of the 1870s London. They also toured overseas to the USA in several occasions, with great success. The Vokes remained a powerhorse of pantomime until the 1880s when the genre was evolving and their dance routines and shows began looking outdated.
(Now try and imagine the upkeep of such thick heads of hair with just rainwater and brushes…)

Oh, and she cares of not stepping on her skirt.
PS: my mother still haves her wedding gown. We all agree to wonder how in heavens did she fit inside, specially since it’s physically impossible that she is taller now than then…
The world: full of scammers, griefers and thieves looking for fools to part from their money.
My father: HERE HERE HERE!! HEEELLLOOO!!!
Today I’ve come home back from work and my father was on a totally-not-sus telephone call with a random mobile number pretending to be assistance from a bank, about a supposed charge from an account opened to his name without his permission, and he already had installed a “Bank protection app” from WhatsApp… I’ve removed the app (googled as a well known trojan), installed a reputable antivirus (Sophos Intercept X Mobile) on his phone and now I’ll tell him to keep an eye on their bank accounts from the PC, not the smartphone.
Dunno what would have happen if I was late, or the phone call had laster longer, or my father had managed to follow smartphone instructions and the scammers got their catch…
