Background: thatās a ābotijoā. Itās a clay pot with porous (non-enamel) walls which slowly evaporate water and cool the inside naturally. Theyāre both clever, simple and traditional. āEasy as the mechanism of a botijoā is a Spanish saying for meaning that something is fool-proof easy.
The only downside (other than being made of clay thus theyāre fragile) is that over time water minerals clog the walls and disrupt the evaporation, so they stop cooling water. Also the clay walls give water a peculiar (but nice) tasteā¦ Water is really chilly if you just keep the botijo in the shadow (thatās why haves a sturdy handle, to hang it from a tree).

Hehe, it stopped before I actually went to home. Now is blue sky and a sunny weather with some small clouds. Its remarkable how fast weather is changing here recently.
