Timezone everyone o/

I had comic with Alf. Was more enjoyable than show for me.

Dr Who a female timelord, I am not surprised and nobody should. I suspected time lords have similar reproduction strategy as anemonefish species. :sunglasses:

That was the backup… and honestly it’s too late to make another one, I’m just trying to find a solution.

I suspect its the backup that is just devoid of the traces of the removed files.

I remember that the data is not removed from the disk physically untill its overwritten, but backups are not physical copies of the disk.

I also never really liked the “if only there was a backup” lines when data is lost  I know it’s true to backup everything, but it also doesn’t help the frustration. :slightly_smiling_face:

It was a copy of the original, and I tried to recover it right as soon as I realized what happened. I had cleaned up a bunch of random files one day because I wanted to free up some space and I must have accidentally threw it in the bin. It was a fairly large zip folder of around 5gigs.

I guess there was a single trace of the file, you could say (or at least proof that it existed). There was a recovered registry entry to the file path of where it was. But it’s obviously not at that path anymore. Traces of the actual file are no where to be found, but that entry at least proves that it was there. So, no clue. :pensive:

Sure to wake someone up, thank you king of random

5 gigs? That is a lot of stuff waiting to be overwitten.

It is fairly large, probably so large it got overwritten in few places that could made it recoverable. I have seen there is http://www.r-studio.com/ able to recover some files bigger than 4 gigs.

Even if it was partially overwritten it should still show up. There was tons of other files, even around that same size that came up, but a lot older, it just said that it was unrecoverable because it was overwritten. But not this file, it’s like it never existed.

I’ll take a look at that one as well in the morning. Thanks :slightly_smiling_face:

IM ON TOP OF THE LIKES…worry not.

If it was partially overwritten then it might be a junk file like “[12086]” (they don’t keep their names all the time) or built into an arbitrary file (merged files into a singular one or fragmented into smaller ones).

The issue with zips are if headers get damaged then it might be a goner…

I have a problem…I am powerless in the face of likes.

I am surprised FBI did not showed up.

Maybe because he was too white to look like a terrorist. But then again, who said white people cant be terrorists?
Even in my coutry there was many terrorists in past centuries when Poland was partitioned.
They blowed other people with bombs but it didnt work for anything. All it took to get back on the map was World War I.
