old games seem to be coming out free
Bethesda released the 2 original elder scrolls games for free [arena and daggerfall]
Blizzard released the original starcraft for free, still have to pay for the remastered version
Eve is free… but I’m not sure it would count…
I can only wait until games like fallout , megaman battle network, etc, fallow
well… megaman chrono x is free but… fan game, still good, best played with a controller.

I remember people pirating games here in schools and everybody played those games already for free when they were coming out. People were copying cds all the time. I think they still do that. I stopped, but mainly because I dont play so much these times.

the list I found, legitimately free, a lot run in browsers like Wolfenstein 3d but some can be downloaded, you just need DOS or DOSBOX… up to the user whether it’s worth it or not.
Back before I was born, when gaming was fresh and had limitless possibilities. Nostalgia for others I bet.
