oh yeah…someone got me there ohoohohohohoohohohoh
As if it wasn’t enough CCP forcing us to “be part of the 21st century” and use the cellphone for EvE mails, now my bank also shut down the handy Temporary Card website to buy stuff online and forces everyone to use the cellphone!
Welp, guess I’ll quickly go to an ATM and get the thing needed to do that then…
I was annoyed that I couldn’t EVEmail people from the forums anymore
I have an old phone that can’t do that stuff anyway, I honestly do not need it to. Someday will have to upgrade though.
Correct the text if theres a flaw I am a ‘Portubutt’ so english mistakes are expected
I could not care even less about new phones. My interest rates about them would probably spike if this would break and burn, but its old, sturdy phone and it will not burn.
My old phone was replaced last year. It still works, and it was bought in 2006.
Old Motorolas best Motorolas!
(But my new Moto isn’t bad either, just still isn’t one year old)
Ah, so you’re Portuguese! Then maybe you might help with a doubt… Spaniards traveling in Portugal often have the impression that Portuguese people understand Spanish quite well, whereas the opposite is not true. But, is it real? Do Portuguese people understand Spanish or they’re just good at faking it?? ,
In my experience I can understand Spanish talking, if its not fast talk, but I struggle hard to reply in their tongue. As to if they understand us, well, been in Spain two or three times during my time in the Navy, they kinda do, Portuguese is one of the hardest tongues out there despite the similarities it has with Spanish.
But that’s my experience, some people understand Spanish quite well, others don’t. Same goes for Spanish understanding Portuguese.
Do you also have those funny words, like when they have different meaning while they may appear like they mean the same thing?
We have few such words in polish and czech.
Poruchane w odbyte means a malfunction in sales department in czech language, while for a polish speaker it sounds rather like czech is talking about anal sex.
Can’t think of any right now, most people use a weird word for just about anything nowadays, like Rat (the female one in Portuguese which is Rata) and they usually call that to the huh… Ahem… female body part between the legs.
Do not ask why, it’s the same as to why English call it a Beaver, but unlike that Beaver word it is used much more frequently between people that lack some respect in this community.
Trust me when I say this, Portugal is a beautiful country, specially the islands of Azores, but not its residents.
I am going to meme the crap out of that for a while
Houm… I don’t know… but then here in Spain some people speak Galician, which is very similar to Portuguese so maybe they know better… I speak Catalonian which is somewhat related to French (they share an ancestor) and then also there’s people who speak Basque or Euskara, which is not releted to indoeuropean languages but is at least as old as Spanish: the first known text in Spanish and Basque it’s the same book as it was a songbook in Latin and haves footnotes and some text in ancient Spanish and ancient Basque, probably written by different monks using the book with intent to make the Latin words easier to understand.
You’re in Spain? H-Hello neighbour! Drats, I am never prepared to these sort of things… Err… What to good neighbours say to new neighbours… Didily doodily neighbourino?
I think I haven’t made a secret, precisely, that I am from Barcelona… even at one point I suggested CCP to open an office in my city to take advantage of certain sinergies and our awesome weather and city. I suggested them to move to a city quarter where they would enjoy massive and underused IT infrastructure, cheap office rental, be near highly talented 3D and digital artists schools, and be 20-30 minutes walk from beaches one can swim at even in october (we locals don’t do it, but you bet northerners do).
PS: and where are you from?
Oh snap thats waaay on the other side of here! I am in Setubal, located right next to Lisbon, am living in a cozy place, calm, convenient with transports and shops, quite nice
Well, we’re neighbors, just happen to be on two seas at opposite shores of a peninsula and seperated by like 1200 kilometers of mountains, rivers, more mountains, flats, mountains and then a sprinkle of rivers and a few mountains more.
Perfect! We should do a pyjama party at your place on the weekend!
By the time I get there, its time to come back
243 hours walking, what’s that? Nothing with good company and good wine!
That would surely get me fit again!
And me too.
