Good morning LAGFLers!

Some days, your airplane will just collide with a bird and a rabbit…

Incident: Virgin Australia B738 at Melbourne on Oct 20th 2017, bird and rabbit strike at once
By Simon Hradecky, created Friday, Oct 20th 2017 20:43Z, last updated Friday, Oct 20th 2017 20:43Z

A Virgin Australia Boeing 737-800, registration VH-YFX performing flight VA-319 from Melbourne,VI to Brisbane,QL (Australia), was climbing out of Melbourne’s runway 27 when the crew declared PAN reporting excessive left hand engine (CFM56) vibrations and decided to return to Melbourne. The aircraft levelled off at 5000 feet. The crew advised an eagle carrying a rabbit had just impacted their #1 engine, positioned the aircraft for an approach to runway 16. The aircraft landed safely on runway 16 about 17 minutes after departure.

The airline reported upon suspecting a bird strike the crew decided to return to Melbourne.

Sneaky Something. Looks like he was more surpised than you. Bamboozled even.
I see correct that it was a forest?

If there is a forest there may be mushrooms. Probably they will not glow in dark tho.
But everyone can make the glowing ones at home. :relaxed:

This is a spot way back behind our shop. If we hadn’t started to maintain the area it would have became a forest thats for sure.
