Well apparently those aren’t elastic ropes, so everybody falls at the same time and stops at the same height… and probably they’re experienced in these matters. Frankly I’ve never ehard before of bridge jumping in groups, but the video is from Brazil so maybe it’s a thing there…

Last week of my holidays… I don’t want them to end! I mean, they must end, but, not yet… three weeks is not enough!

I’ve read both books, and “Brave new world” frightened me in a way “1984” didn’t. “1984” was a poduct of its time, Orwell’s experiences with stalinism (specially in Spain) were the main reason behind the book. Whereas Huxley just looked at what people had done in the 20s and figured that it was a shape of things to come. It’s the difference between competence and briliance.
Another take on a society in which “if a little A is good, then a fuckton of A is better until we just live for A” is one of my favorite Ray Bradbury stories, “The Murderer”.
And yes, that’s us, glimpsed from 64 years ago.
