“The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts.”
Bertrand Russell

I see a window as a backgroud. WiS was just a few months away in that time. :exploding_head:
Or what people were thinking will happen.

Yiole’s avatar must be very early 2011 since the new character creation screen was introduced in 2011 if I’m not mistaken.

The Worst Jobs In History series is very good. I cant stop watching it all. Humorous and surprising, also make you look differently at your job. :ok_hand:

Well, she’s from october 2010, and the new avatar creator is from the winter release so probably was deployed weeks after creating Yiole in the old character maker. Looks like eternity even if it’s just 7 years ago.

Looking at where has come EVE from its potential back then is like meeting a former promising child grown into a disgusting piece of sh¡t adult.

2000s meet 1930’s and a steam wagon (truck) from 1929. Yes, a truck powered by steam. From 1929. And they were built as late as 1946. Only in Britain!

I am under impression that british people really like coal.

Been a crazy two days. My poor car is missing a window because someone thought I stored worthwhile stuff inside. Funny thing is they couldn’t open the door. Without a key when you unlock the door it locks its self back again. Bad criminals as well. Hold in the unlocked position while you open the door… Im just glad she is safe.

Smashing windows is an indication they were in a hurry. When it became clear they wouldn’t be making a fast get-away, they cut and run. The thieves you have to worry about are the ones that don’t break anything, and leave no sign they existed except for your stuff being missing.

That’s why I should always put my stuff in the trunk. Including the GPS and its part I stick to the window. Otherwise the burglars would think there is a GPS device in the glove box.

Well, it’s a fuel they’ve got in their backyard. Probably in some fringe cases the steam wagons had a slight edge on the diesel engines of the era and they have an enormous torque, which is good for heavy vehicles… But steam engines are less efficient than internal combustion so whatever they burn, they will waste it, and if they burn coal which is unusable for internal combustion, it’s a dirty mess.

Talking, smart houses and flying cars were cooler as a concept than as reality…

Also, good morning LAGLers! Today it’s gonna be funny going to work because of the impact of the women’s strike on public transportation… not because there’s a lot of female drivers, but because of unions’ involvement. Admittedly I’m having a difficult time to make sense of this strike, but we’re so damn busy at my workplace that there’s no way to follow it unless some feminist comes and does my job… and we could use a hand even if we don’t strike.

You have to say on social media that feminists cant do your work, I think some will want to prove you wrong. Then you could say to them “prove it” and show them where they have to work to prove it. :sunglasses:
