Well then i might wait until 2019 or 2020 when the launch issues are fixed and give them another chance. I campaigned a lot against Rebirth before the wreck but I expect X4 to be something else than what TC was relative to X3… a bunch of mods piled upon the old venerable code and sold as a new game. Seriously…
On the other hand, Egosot are a garage company with the tiniest bunch of developers aboard and it’s amazing what they achieved with the original X series.
The sector music from X3 was awesome…
Wow, the X-tended mod trailer still is online 11 years later!
I worked in one of the teams making the Spanish translation of the mod, but it all was stopped without notice and then it turned the X-tended mod was used as basis for Terran Conflict.
The FCC aren’t exactly rocket scientists though are they.
Since satellites must communicate and could potentially disrupt the communications of others, the FCC gets a say in what goes on. The FCC is not the only authority in town, just the ones taking action here.
Seems reasonable if you ask me.
IT RUBS THE PLEX ON ITS SKIN OR ELSE IT GETS THE HOSE AGAIN!
Oh my look at how late it is…Nighties lovelies!
I am just wondering why nobod mentioned SC.
Finally home after a long day at the shop. Much progress was made. I can tell because I am very tired.
Because it’s a no-thing. I still have the access as early backer but nothing I’ve seen draws my attention to what CR is delivering in lieu of the game I backed. It’s not a matter of whether it will succeed or fail, it just is not a game I would have backed… specially since it has somewhat become a planet simulator instead of a space simulator while they just keep selling literal paper spaceships.
To me SC jumped the shark, fell to the water, was mauled and disfigured by the shark, then lumped its way to the shore, a coconut hit its head and now is a derranged handicapped lunatic building an empire out of dry sand and sticks.
Also: this is gonna make life difficult to sock-stealing elves!
Very interesting read, hope it’s the right theory and new therapies can stem from it. It’s easy to figure that a kind of AI powered sensorial barrier could trim down the environment to meet the autistic brain’s expectations, diminishing anxiety and overload. The more autism stops being a puzzle and becomes a form of known “brain gestalt”, the more we will be able to do to improve the patient’s lives.
