The like and get likes thread

I just finished watching John Wick. It was a good action flick,I guess…

The plot was basically what a man does for the love of his dog.

That’s a nice pic, but, why the silly, silly, silly tattoo? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

The tattoo on her wrist is a very old one(2012) and it reads: “Accentuate the positive / Eliminate the negative.” It is a reference to a song written by Johnny Mercer in 1944.

Yeah, no point in coming back. IMO, a manned mission to Mars should be advertised beforehand as a one-way mission for all candidates. Even if you did come back, would likely be for just a brief visit, then back to your new low-grav home again ASAP.

Good night,lovelies.

The craft that will be sent there before manned missions would be extracting fuel from Mars. Then the start from Mars will be in this craft sent beforehand.

This is only one of the options of producing fuel there. So its possible to do it, only why would we want to do it, why flying there with manned craft and coming back to earth?

That would not work though.
Even on Mars man would die.
It’s even worst in space.
There is little point to send people to die there.

That is why we dont send them to die there.

Meanwhile, from the series “it’s not easy being dorne…”: Russian post drone will deliver your post at home…

…just maybe too literally.

Meanwhile in my home Catalonia…

…we don’t drone, we balloon into houses!

(The pilot managed to make a rough landing 2 kilometers away, outside of the town; nobody was hurt, neither on the balloon nor on the ground)

To be honest it doesnt look like a good place to start.

In Soviet Russia, everything is the opposite eh?

The reason is that losses are not acceptable.
It’s a logistic thing.
Sure, perhaps, in certain conditions, but, the goal to bring them back alive and without disease due to gravity or pressure is to encourage others.
It also can work better for funding.
It should also prove easier to go to Venus.
We can do more mining on Mars, but we don’t need to be on the ground.

We can’t mine on Venus except harvest gas so far.

Oh, they do it each year as that’s part of a baloons festival, but probably several things went wrong with this launch, like maybe the wind was stronger than expected.
