FFXIV is gorgeous and has deep immersive qualities but for some reason I canāt get into it. Thereās 0 risk maybe or maybe it just feels like a single player game that has other people running around completing the same quests as anyone. Dunno.
Besides it makes me miss my first love, FFXI

Meh, with abysmal queue times in FF Iām forced to log into EVE again. Have to endure all the jokes about how I donāt play that game and never log in and bla bla (but tbh theyāre completely right, but of course I canāt admit that)

It is sort of like that, yeah.
The great majority is playing it for whatever reason, constantly grinding new gear. And then there are players like me that are pretty much only playing for the storyline and curbstomp in (utterly terrible) PvP matches between patches.
But now that they revamped the PvP system and PvP gear is no longer usable in PvE, guess Iāll have to grind that gear too to continue on with the storyā¦ but Iāll only grind after itās no longer top-notchā¦ ā ā ā ā that week-long grinding for a single piece, lol.

Its funny how games have gear that you have to grind for days, and in EVE you can go to low sec and do a bunch of DED sites one day and you can get a lot of gear. And if you dont like it, you can sell it and buy some other gear. I think economy is one of the biggest advantages of EVE.

Itās what I really love about EVE. All the trillions I have in assetsā worth donāt become irrelevant with the next patch. My Nyx Iāve had for 10 years now is today about just as viable as it was back when I first got it.

But on the other hand EVE is a bitch when you only want to do something for 30-45 minutes without really committing to it.
Since Iām a cloaky ā ā ā hotdropper, it takes at least 30 to 60 minutes to even deploy to a region and start hunting and then I canāt just go away whenever I feel like it.
That really turns me off EVE and all the problems with bots and intel channels in nullsec are a total downer.
But well, maybe Iām just a bitter old vet that should call it a day and finally quit.

Just a misunderstood eve player trying to help new players by assisting wars against their aggressors.
I am mentioned on the old forum daily as Iāve killed most and they have issues.
