They fairly frequently aka 2-3 times a year did the old packs at 50% off. If they did that with these new ones they’d probably be worth the buy at that point but as is with the current cost? No. Will wait for 50% off sale and if doesn’t happen i’m just as happy to spend the money on something else other than EVE.
Yes they were. And I was waiting for a subscription for 420. There are not many options, we can assume what and when it will be. There is a site with a list of all past events.

£76.49 for 90 days game time and 1500 plex - 250,000 sp (lol?) and an ugly skin.
90 days game time and 1600 plex is £79 - So where is the value in buying the pack… lol saving £3?

This deal is especially bad if you factor in the price of SP you get in return.
250k SP for 8,5 quid… you can get 240 PLEX for that, which is just 10 PLEX short of buying LSI with 400k SP, so the added 60 PLEX, SKINs and junk don’t even balance out the lost 150k LP.
Hardly a bargain.
I guess it is good to develop the habit of checking the value of what you buy before buying, as is with Jita vs other trade hub prices. Always analyze, compare and decide, cause there is a scam waiting every time.
It’s pretty bad though when CCP gets in on the hot scamming action too.

Looking closer with these packs and without comparing these with the packs of the past. I can recall this being the third one time deal packs per account being released.
Could the changes to the packs this time round be set so they only appeal to new pilots or ship skin collectors?
Could it also be to discourage creating multiple accounts?
Thinking the later would be a tin foil hat moment but I guess the new account would take up system resources with the constant longing in and out of characters etc. Then another thinking is that if a discount were to be applied then the packs would become a hot potato or a pan fried egg that everybody wants.
Yeah, the new packs suck. If they wanted to encourage spending, they should have just refreshed the old ones so we could buy them again. THAT, I would have done. I won’t be buying any of the new ones…ever.
Well, 3 of my 4 accounts were Alpha so I bought the Silver Packs for them and got an extra 250,000 SP’s added to each account due to the DDoS SP Reimbursement still being active.
