Theme #4 - MANUFACTURING/BLUEPRINTS/CHIPSETS (concept) [3/3]

We’re wrapping up our theme with something special, CHIPSETS! Like upgrades for your weapons, chipsets could potentially be special items you could create with your blueprints. There could be different types and tiers, so you can customize your setup to fit your playstyle. Whether you want better accuracy, reduced recoil, or something else. This is where you can really make your gear, your own! Why should you care?

  1. Customization: Chipsets allow you to tweak your blueprints for even more specific results. Want a weapon that fires faster? There could be a chipset for that. Looking for something with higher durability? Potentially…

  2. Player Feedback: We want to make sure this system feels rewarding and fun. Your input on how easy it is to understand, how effective the upgrades feel, and what other options you’d like to see will shape how this potential feature evolves.

This system is designed to give you more control over your items and make your gameplay experience more enjoyable and personalized. As previous, please share your thoughts! What kind of chipsets would you like to see? How does this system fit into your playstyle?

Some random brainstormy ideas for chipsets/mods:

  1. Faster reload
  2. Larger magazine capacity
  3. Scope enhancer for sniper rifles (there will be sniper rifles right? :blush: )
  4. Ricochet bullets
  5. Increased durability Yes
  6. Energy charged bullets
  7. Recoil reduction Yes
  8. Increased round-per second firing
  9. Headshot auto-targeting
  10. Increased round penetration
  11. Bonus damage for specific ammo types: EM / kinetic / thermal / explosive / toxic (damage over time)
  12. Increased range accuracy
  13. Stealth firing (silencer?)
  14. Proximity mine mod on grenade launcher (there will be a grenade launchers right? :blush: )
  15. Enemy radar detector (weapon beeps with incresed frequency when approaching non visible enemy)
  16. Surgical strike vs AoE mode on missile launcher (ther will be anti-aircraft missile launchers right? :blush: )
  17. Laser sight
  18. Orbital bombardment targeting system
  19. Automatic vs burst firing
  20. Mining rifles yeld
  21. Mining rifles rate of fire
  22. Mining rifles bonuses for specific ore type
  23. Mining rifles auto-reprocessing ores into minerals/materials
  24. Mining rifles ore proximity detector (different sound for different type of ore)
  25. Shield enhancer (boosts shield points if equipped)

Different Tiers? Yes (T1 to T5 as a function of character skills tree?).

P.s.: I personally like the white-blu-green-purple-gold color coding for equip/BPs tiers, but I can understand how that could seem too much fantasy mmo style, not very suitable for EvE.
