CCP is mocking the customer with this add and they knew it would piss people off. CCP is laughing at the fools that still log in and pay them.
Since I don’t see this popups I assume it only shows for Alphas…
Like Youtube, if you don’t have a subscription you have adds. You want to play for free… have ads. That is ok.
More likely it’s centered on new accounts…
Everything Rattati and the no more fun DEV have done for the past 18 months was to turn off, delete or nerf to death every money making opportunity in EVE. Its no longer a conspiracy theory but an advertised fact. CCP is mocking the customers that are still logging in and paying for this scam. Don’t go to the CSM for help, they are in on the scam and CCP bribed them with cheap plex to get them to go along and tell all the customers in EVE that this was going to be great for the sandbox game play. Its no different than when CCP was cheating for Band of Brothers. The CSM was created to smooth things over with customers after CCP DEVS were caught red handed cheating for their friends in BOB [Band of Brothers}. Now CCP is bribing the CSM with cheap plex so that the CSM will help CCP destroy the sandbox.
I never paid for EVE for the privilege of logging in and grinding out an imaginary income. However, I play less now because there’s just not as much to do as there was in the past. I used to engage in various forms of piracy, legit mercenary work and PvP training, and pretty much all of those activities have been eliminated from the game. Piracy is dead because over three quarters of the population are concentrated in high-sec and can opt out of it with safety buttons and war immunity (and other areas of space are almost exclusively defined by anti-small-group, pro-blobbing measures pushed through by the CSM), and mercenary work and training are dead industries because the players who traditionally needed such services can now almost fully opt out of PvP, aside from the danger of suicide-ganking, to which such services don’t apply.
My choices are now (1) grind PvE like ~97% of the game’s population, or (2) suicide-gank. And neither of those are appealing to me as a full-time activity.
CCP white-washed the game and sucked all the fun out of it by removing all the rough edges, but at the same time didn’t go far enough to at least appeal to the PvE crowd by turning the game into a 100% cooperative experience.
My man, I can sympathize with getting tired of scarcity, but you are not doing the position any favors by twisting facts and promoting conspiracy theories.
I think it’s the same person who has been posting hundreds of these posts on Reddit and Steam, too. Some of them are written like as if by some kind of movie villain psychopath cutting up magazines to write threatening notes and covering their walls with photos of the target(s) of their obsession.
Wonder if it’s someone who was running a really big RMT farm?
