Consolidation for the betterment of EVE. Me like!
That would also save some valuable mid-slots for other things.

Ahh tiericide. I remember life before it.
I liked how this was supposed to fix name gear being “better” as the t1 makers were ranting no one buys their stuff. And some t2.
COme back to 2023…prop mods are still named/meta. Damage/damage application mods can be too. I use t1 to trade into domination modules when I see the angels vendor and that is about it.
seeing how ecm has been smacked down hard…that idea its scripted doesn’t sound so bad. for the people who still use it. I know if I had my blops pilot come back to this realm it not be a rainbow ecm widow setup.
It be an ecm less one. Even then it be redeemer or panther most likely.
This has to be proven. Just because people rant about smt, does not mean that smt is changed to comply to rants.
Actually this means the ECM ships don’t need to fit for opponent. This is open to debate, even though I dislike kinetic-locked caldari ships.
For battleship tiericide it was.
People were saying BS meta was stale. unloved bpo owners wer going no buys waht I make. Yeah…I didn’t buy scorpions. I made them with a nice ME/PE (old indy setup) BPO and put into widow making lines. NIce profit margins for me long ago really. even with me giving corp discounts when in the mood.
CCP agreed. They said they wanted to break up the meta. Some of the unloved bs’…had nothing to do with being a lowly tier 1 and not 2 or 3.
scorpion was/is niche. Vanilla. Rattler is something different as was/is navy. Tiericide raised price to kill off even its fun ecm for me. Long ago wheh I was making these for cheap (like 55 million 2010)…I’d warp into something and use the burst jam bonus. Trolling on a grand scale. I could even live to get a 2nd or 3 rd run in. At 55 mil, sure…at its now 230 million? Hell no.
Hyperion was and probably still is that"why are you here bs" too. It was not hated for low tier when called that. Active reps in pvp are not really useful. Mega and domi had way more versatility both pve and pvp.
Blasterthron doesn’t need to rep (in pvp). It landed right is a shotgun blast to the face. You don’t have to tank dead targets. They don’t shoot anymore, damage is now 0.
No they’re not. They were changed to Compact/Enduring/Restrained versions long ago. Propulsion has already received the tiericide.
The only modules that haven’t yet been broken down into T1, T1 with benefits that can’t be obtained through manufacturing, T2, and Faction+ are, to my knowledge:
Guns and Missile Launchers:
You still have the ‘Scout’ Autocannon, the Light Gallium Machine Gun, the Carbide Repeating Cannon, etc. The Scout is strictly better than the T1 and used to be that you needed skill level 4 to operate, but that changed long ago.
and… that’s it! I can’t think of any other module class in EVE that still requires tiericide. Nearly all of them are in their final forms as Compact, Enduring, Restrained, and Scoped.
Aside from turrets and missiles there also are some lesser-used modules that still haven’t had tiericide:
These had a hole pass done when they changed nullification didn’t they?
You would think so that they got changed either during the nullification changes or when the warp core stabilizers became active modules.
But no, they’re still ordered with the old tiers of ‘better’ and ‘worse’ meta modules, rather than the new compact, enduring and restrained versions:
As you can see the ‘Halcyon’ meta module is clearly the best, while ‘Accord’ is the worst meta module. This is the old tiered approach to modules still present in weapons too.
I think we’re getting some power diagnostic/reactor control tiericide here right away (possibly as early as next Tuesday with the next patch).
It’s not changing the tiers, only the icons. The missiles remain the same.
