The player number has to be growing to ever recover to their peak number, don’t you think?
Well, it’s not worth me arguing over it. If we want to call it growth we can.
I’m not busting your butt here. The game has become boring. Thats why the game has flatlined. CCP is happy with the numbers and that’s why the numbers will still be flatline in the future.
None except eve had growing numbers till CCP changed the rules. They tossed away a growing game to monetize the game. CCP wins, players lose.
Are numbers really growing? Still seem stagnant to me.
its not growing, the clowns make new accounts every day…..it’s like when people prop up a failing business…….its all smoke and mirrors.
as for Bots like Amatin the guy is a one man defense comment poster for eve, i wish there was a mute or block in eve forums….he’s be one of quite a few that i’d send to the void.
There is a Mute option when you go on the profile. There’s a long button underneath their pic that says Normal with a bell next to it. If you click on it there are options to mute.
If the profile is hidden, go to your profile and navigate to Users. Put the name you want and it will allow you to mute anyone.
I’m in Jita now. I’ve been here for hours. If you’d had paid the 1 billion ISK, you’d have received advanced notification. Funny- you’re always talking about hunting suspects in Jita yet here’s a hauler suspect sitting here all unmolested.
Jita is boring. It’s nothing more than a chat window of bots and scams. It’s like tuning into an unregulated shopping channel. I don’t know why people find this to be high quality entertainment. I’m leaving.
“Ultimate Carnage Camp* Eyeroll
I am just comparing the games here on ‘growth’ not population.
This kind of growth is due to the larger income provided by the game revenues. It doesn’t make the game better, just more of a money maker. The profit, when invested into the proper hardware and software updates, generates growth. Eve Online has growth but it has been slowed due to loss of revenues. In fact, I am impressed by the growth shown in this graph. It shows that roughly 41% of the all time high is playing Eve on a Wednesday. I am certain CCP would love to see numbers in the millions but I seriously doubt their server can handle that kind of load.
thankyou
You’re most welcome.
jesus christ, evry game compared to counter strike, an fps game at that, will look like the sahara desert
even that AI SLOP that’s the new cod game has more number then eve
I recall I said that in the context of growing World of Warcraft numbers, not about EVE.
You can simply mute me either in my profile or by adding me to your own profile’s ignore list, which is a useful feature against people with hidden profiles.
I do not know what I have done to deserve your hatred but hopefully this means I no longer have to hear your tiresome and false accusations ever since the first time I tried to help you. Please do mute me!
Deary….I gotta sleep sometime so you can’t expect me to be on at 3 in the morning. However if you look up killboard you will see that my corp Opus Dei is #1 for kills in Jita.
In fact over the past week we’ve killed most of the people on your overview list ![]()
Nothing is ever boring. People are.
‘To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour. ‘ ( William Blake )
That’s a player issue, not a game issue.
All games tend to get boring when you play them often enough. Storyline games run out of story, games built on interesting mechanics get figured out and completed.
Only PvP games have the potential to stay interesting as other players are unpredictable and can adapt, but even that can grow stale if you’ve seen it all.
If the game is boring for you, why not take a break?
That is what I tend to do when bored of EVE or other games.
Exciting stuff. Sit in Jita and attack suspect ships. Grats on doing all of that, but it sounds really boring. 9 pages of kills all in Jita. Nothing but suspects. That means I have nothing to fear as I don’t fly with a Suspect Tag.
I don’t mean to sound harsh, but you did issue a condescending remark accusing me of never daring to show my face in Jita. I don’t know why as Jita is quite the boring place.
Ah, but how many do YOU have?
Asked and answered, Aiko. Asked and answered.
I’ve told you over and over. If you want to engage me in PvP, you know where I am. I’m not going to chase you no matter how much you beg.
I don’t need to engage you in PvP. I have plenty of PvP targets. This is a PvP game. Are you playing it? What is your KDR? That is a “kill to death ratio”, I know you are new to these kinds of games. Have you killed anything yet?
I do play it in my own way. I’ve never been ganked. I’ve dodged gate camps. I’ve even survived gate camps. I do my research and make my ships survivable.
I PvP by being hard to kill. By making it impossible or extremely difficult to destroy my ships. That’s why I mine in open space while gankers are present and I go through Uedama without incident. That’s how I PvP.
