Turning a hs gankers loss from pure pve to a pvp loss

ok i see many of you using various ships..

some use ecm bursting ships to get a hit on all of them.. others use small fast lockign ships to kill em. etc etc, thats cool n all. end of the day what ever works best for you go hard,

imho the most effective ship to get pvp hits on as many of the fleet as possible is the sky breaker,

I have seen skybreakers on hs ganker kill mails and its obvious what they do.. they lock onto one target and just hound on that ship till it pops. 10 hots maybe slightly more.

the best way is attack the main tackler this will normally be a maller/caracal/ other cruiser based ship. as the rest of the fleet warps in and all become legit targets you should spread out your hits..
lock up 5 of the. take one shot and move to the next target, each time it will hit the nearest legit targets. repeat till all 5 have had the same thing or the fleet dies to concord. and yes you can actually get a hit on each and every one of them..

now the down side.. you will hit near by navy ships and they will eventually try to kill you. do not worry they dont scramble you just need to dock up or change systems to avoid them.

last but not least is the “neutral:” ship near the fleet that has a jet can next to them.. as you start shooting they will run the risk and take the contents of the can and become a legit target then they target you and shoot your lil itsy bitsy skybreaker till it pops.

some ganker corps are becoming increasingly sneaky fookers.

make of this post as you will.

Thanks for all the hot tips.

the more that know the more that can turn a pve loss into a pvp loss..

Please, please stop

I can’t handle my PVE loss turning into a PVP loss on a third party website any longer!

I am sick of it! Might even quit the game

So you’re basically whoring on Concord who are going to destroy the ganker ships anyway.

Why want to hit them if you are not planning to kill them (what a Skybreaker can’t do) anyway?

Pure waste of time. Do you think they are about lost Catalysts on the killboard? -_-

and youre complaining why???

end of the day your guys say you dont mind but you sure asf go out of your way to avoid the hits, there is no difference between using concord to help get kill mails vs in a 200 man fleet and whorting off those mails.

they dont all use dessies.. they been known to use nados and talos in 40 man fleets.. and in some cases purifiers.

So what? You don’t kill those either with a Skybreaker. And the gankers absolutely don’t care for killboard losses, they care for tears and profit.

riiiight

Its already a calculated loss, so it ending up on zkill or not does not matter. Even before a single shot has even been fired, its already been established:

  • How much EHP the target has
  • How much DPS will be need to kill the target
  • What the potential rewards will be
  • What the cost overhead for the required ganking ships will be
  • If the gank will be profitable or not

You shooting them with a Skybreaker wont change any of that, since you are not changing the outcome in any meangiful way.

You’re getting a ‘kill’ off something that is going to be killed anyway…guaranteed. It thus makes no difference whether you do 1000 hit points of damage or just 1…you still get the ‘kill’. That is probably the laziest way of getting ‘kills’.

When I suspect hunt at Jita, I have absolutely no guarantee that anyone else will fire on the suspect. There’s no guarantee of a kill. In fact others usually join in after I have started firing…as everyone’s waiting for someone with good alpha, which I have, to do most of the damage. I can end up with a situation where yet another person whoring off kills gets 1% of the damage and the ‘final shot’…whilst I have done 99%. That also robs Safety of the kill.

So no…I am not too enamoured of people whoring off kills for a living. Its a different matter if a whole bunch of people fire together…thats fine. But whoring off Concord, or people who wait for tank to drop to 1% and then fire…kinda sucks.

yet in ns alliance blocks its ok…

also some of you claim these high sec gankers dont care about pvp losses.. yet groups like L.E.G.I.O.N are doing their upmost top high pvp losses be it no post from api to kill boards or using smart bombing ships to kill as many destroyers when at low ho to take the kill mail..

aint that right prime admiral ?? mr i dont care about ship losses.. actions speak louder than words son..

there are other ways… legion proves that many a time

In nullsec at least each individual fleet member is contributing to killing something. You’re just shooting something that’s already dead.

They use smartbombs to get the pod of their target too, not to whore on their own destroyers… it’s for farming tears.

And they don’t API to not give instant free intel on their activities, so only kills/losses that their victims post appear on zkill. Many smart players are doing that, because you don’t have any obligation to feed a third party website with informations about what you do in the game. Especially if that information can be used to thwart your plans or used against you otherwise.

Sounds pretty pointless to me to get a few hits in on ships that are already doomed to be destroyed by CONCORD.

If your goal is to turn PvE losses into PvP losses by being involved with CONCORD kills, why not bring a ship that has the potential to change the outcome of the situation?

Whoring on kills with a little damage against all attackers probably won’t stop a gank unless you deal enough damage for attackers to be killed before CONCORD does their job, which I doubt your Skybreaker is capable of doing.

With no experience in these engagements I would guess that an ECM burst (which you think is ineffective) has a bigger success chance, not by ‘whoring on kills’, but by making a multibox ganker spend precious seconds retargeting the target and reactivating their guns on all the affected accounts, potentially missing enough dps that the victim survives. And whoring on kills (like your Skybreaker strategy) also happens but is just a secondary effect.

After all, are you playing to boost your killboard numbers only and have zero impact on the game, or are you trying to impact the ganks?

Your choice, but I’d personally try to have some impact on the game, not just play for zkillboard stats against ships that would have died anyway.

You got that wrong, they manually upload their kills.

They want only the green. They doing it for their egos and to hide their kill “trading” between alts.

All in all, zkillboard is a NS tool too many people care just because… Most KMs outside real PvPers that were trying are just a joke anyway.

Killboard

I use the smartbomb to kill the pods, not everything is about you!

I am the only one who cheers you on when you join me in system

Uedama gets lonely so I enjoy the company
