Unable to lock on to asteroids

I went from an IBIS to a VENTURE and now the lockon option has disappeared from my dropdowns,

Have you equipped mining lasers ?

and how far are you from the roid and what is your lock range

You’re probably just out of range.
Ibis has a base lock range of 27km while a Venture has a base lock range of only 15km (Not really a bad thing, your lasers only go 10-15km anyways.)

The option to lock on doesn’t even appear on the drop down menu

I got it sorted out thanx for everybodys help.

You can also lock on by holding Ctrl and left clicking the roid or something in the overview.
