Unable to log into forums/support site in chrome

Firefox works fine, Chrome loads forums and login page without problem. It is after the login information is entered that Chrome responds with

This site can’t be reached

I could only add scopes to recent applications using firefox, chrome did this same thing every time attempting to add, and obviously I am writing this post using firefox, as the chrome does not work. before the recent DDOS chrome worked fine.

I use chrome every day with no problems. The issue is not with chrome. I would do the basic maintenance operations on your end. Maybe try a re-install. Also, make sure you don’t have an addon getting in the way.
